As long as mom is with them she should take care of keeping them clean. It might take her a few days to get the hang of it if it is her first litter.

Unless the mother is not cleaning them herself, leave them alone.
If the mother is not cleaning them, then use a warm, well wrung out wash rag. Make sure they are out of any draft while you are doing it and gently rub each one dry with a soft cloth immediately afterwards.
Be careful of their eyes. The eyelids should still be sealed shut and the tissues are very delicate. I wouldn't wipe near their eyes unless they are particularly dirty.
I do hope nothing has happened to the mom so that you have to care for the pups. Good luck!

Usually the mother dog does this. However there are mom dogs that don't really do the job well, like humans I suppose. Yes, it's fine, just make sure it's warm water and then dry it off. They need to be clean. It may make the mother dog see and lick the puppy and clean it the way she should. sometimes they ned to be shown too. Good luck.

Why do you need to wash them? The mother should be doing it.

There is a problem if you need to do that. I have never had 2 day old puppies that I ever thought needed it.
What is the problem????
