Keep the cats away unless your dog doesn't play with them ever. He will be fine, he most likely will act like nothing happened. Keep him inside preferrably and only out to go to the bathroom. Sutures usually come out in7 to 10 days and no bath til those come out. The vet should give these instructions. He will lick at the sutures, don't put anything on them and don't let him lick too much or he will need an e-collar which is the cone that you put around their neck. No special care really they are amazing animals and handle surgery well.

I have hada couple of dogs fixed and I got the same reaction from all of them.....WHY did you do this to me? No really they were usually very sleepy and lazy for a day or two and then back to their normal old self. Our last dog did seem a little mad at us for the first day, but she got over it real fast. Good Luck! I'm sure everything will go fine.

He should rest tonight. The drugs they give him will make him very sleepy. Offer him a small meal but don't worry if he vomits or doesn't eat. It is all due to the drugs. Keep the cats away from him tonight. He will be back to normal in the morning!

Keep all of your other pets away from your dog... he will most likely be in a grumpy mood. Don't allow anyone to pick on him because he'll probably have a temper. Just let your puppy rest, keep feeding him properly, and you should be fine.

Your puppy will be lathargic for a while, but that will go away. He will also have stitches on the operated areA, so i would not let the cats around him to ensure the stitches don't get torn

He wil just be tired. Most male dogs recover really quickly. When my puppy got neutered you couldn't even tell after an hour or two. Female puppies have it much worse.

He'll be groggy and maybe even a bit drooly. I would definitely keep the cats away from him for their own safety and his. You don't want him to snap if he thinks they're going to hurt him.
Pet him lotsl :)

i just got my pup spayed. she never knew she had surgery. she was completley the same and had just as much energy. the place i took her to takes them the night before, and keeps them until the morning after, so they can watch them.
they are supposed to stay calm tho afterwards for a few weeks, so they dont pull the stitches out, so you might want to keep them seperate.
