Ok I asked a question earlier and everyone kept telling me that after i get him neutered to put him through obediance classes b/c he is aggressive. I don't understand how I would be able to put him in obediance classes if he is aggressive. Don't get me wrong I will try anything to make him aggresive, Please give some advice so I can try to make him better. thank you.

Ok. he is 4 years old..we have had him since he was a puppy like 4 weeks old. i know thats an early age to get him but thats how old we got him. He is a pitbull ( please dont say anything about him being a pit and thats what makes him mean b/c its not) he has never been aggressive till he was like 2 and the garbage men came and picked him up and we had to track him down. But before that we never had to worry about him. now he only trusts a handfull of people..me my husband me brother and my mom. Please he is a gorgeous dog and I hate that he can only socialize w/ so little people. and please dont knock him just b/c hes a pit.

If you choose the right trainer they will be able to help with the aggression, and that means NOT a 'furbaby' trainer like they have at Petsmart. Find a kennel or obedience club where the trainers have experience working with problem dogs. Go and watch a beginner class at a couple places. If they only use the bribe with a treat methods, find another school, those methods will NOT help with a dog like yours.

Make sure to give the trainer a heads up about your dogs problems before you take him to class, so they can be prepared to help you.

So if I understand you correctly, you want to know how to deal with an aggressive dog? (Just clarifying as towards the end of your question you say you will try any thing to make him aggressive..typo?)

To have your dog neutered would be a good idea whether or not he is aggressive. Depending on just how aggressive he is you might need to contact a dog training/obedience school and ask if they do one on one training....that way your dog can start obedience school which in turn may actually help towards curing his aggression. Good luck

I saw your other two questions, the first being about a heavy duty crate. I'm curious as to what kind of dog you have and hold old he is. How long have you had him, how long he been aggressive, and why do you say that he's aggressive? Has he bitten or attacked anyone? If, in fact, he is, I agree with he first person who said you should contact a Behavioral Specialist.

If you find that the dog is too aggressive to participate in Obedience Classes you might need to consult with a Dog Behavioral Specialist. Behavioral training meaning to solely concentrate on helping one correct or control their dog's problem. They would focus specifically on the aggression and once under control then you could focus on Obedience Classes.

Seek out an obedience club (that offers training to the general public) that has a behavioral specialist on staff. Your vet may be able to recommend one, or a private obedience instructor that has a behavioral degree (but private trainers are more costly). He needs that extra attention to help with the aggresion. This should help get him straightened out just fine! Good luck.

You don't actually need a class. Mostly you just need to learn how to train. Believe it or not, it is a learned skill. There are also many methods to learn about so that you can pick the best for your dog.
Another option, hire a trainer. Most places who offer classes also offer private lessons. It's not as expensive as it sounds, really. You will get individual advise and one-on-one attention. Depending on you dog, and his needs, this might be the best option.
Get a book. There are lots out there. Go to the library and pick out a few. The "Idiots Guide to..." books are great. Learn about the different ways of training. Depending on how good a student you are, you may not need classes or a trainer. You can do it all yourself.
Good luck

There might be many exclusive causes for her to be acting that method. I'm no canine educated, however it might just be that she doesn't like these puppies. Try taking her a different time to the obediance class and over again to the canine park right after. Bear in mind the variations of the 2 environments and puppies. That would be your reply.

The frist thing the dog needs obediance but you can do this get a choke collar a good leash the dog has to frist know you are the boss have some body come have him on leash pull collar up high on the dogs neck when he shows aggressive behaver jerk straight up an say no you will have to do these 2 to how many times you need to make him set if he stops when you disciplen him praise him make sure you give him praise when he does good if he dont mind you jerk that collar hard an let him know you are not happy an it will come around. These choke collar will not hurt him but it will let him know you are not playing his game.

Training to stop dog aggression is a matter of getting control of your dogs mind and becoming his leader. There are many proven methods to do this and many professional trainers offer their training techniques online.

The key is finding the root cause of the aggressive behavior and focus your training in that area. What event causes the aggression? Stuff like that.

Maybe try some training techniques at home at first - then get along to class.
