When you take your puppy to the vet for shots and check up ask the vet. They can usually tell what breed a dog is.

vets can be off by a lot.... they just need to know how to take care of your dog, not how to identify every single breed when many look similar, especially when you factor in all the mixes you can have.

I say go to www.akc.org I love the site.

When you take your puppy in for shots, the vet should be able to make a good guess at what mixes your puppy might have in him/her.

You ***CAN'T***!!!!!

If you DON'T have PROOF-AKC REGISTRATION-you have a MUTT/MONGREL!
Period.

Vets & shelter-folks are NOTORIOUSLY *TERRIBLE* at guessing MUTT/MONGRELS...or PURE BRED animals either!
