She is a golden retriever going through tests because she is losing weight and this is the only food she will eat. The vet is really expensive costing about £1/35 a can. Is there any where on the web that I can buy it cheaper?

It is a PRESCRIPTION diet. Only sold through vets.

If they have it at PetSmart, it is because they have a VET there. You would need to see that vet to get it anyway. They sell Heartguard there too, but not without seeing the vet first!!
No Hill's prescription diet is sold OTC.

This may help you. I buy Science Diet for my cat at the store Pet Extreme that is here in town in California. It is cheaper there than at the vet office. It is not a prescription food but better for my cat that has had problems with bladder stones. Science Diet is part of the Hill's Company. I suggest you try some major pet stores and try to see if she will eat one of the non-prescription Science Diet moist foods.

Trust me on this: you can only buy it from a vet clinic. Cannot get it at pet stores and if you happen to find it on the web, sorry that's not the real food someone is ripping you off.

Hon, if you were to find something cheaper by the can on the internet, that savings would almost certainly be eaten up in the shipping costs. One of my "hairy children" is on Hill's r/d for weight control and I buy mine at around that same price from our longtime veterinarian. But she is my "child" every bit as much as if she were a human one, and if she needs it, she is going to get it. I'd give up something I wanted for myself before I would short one of my dogs on anything they needed. Hey, it's a "family thing"

You can't by Science Diet cheaper. Especially not pescription diets. Usually some pet stores cary Science Diet, but I/D is a pescription diet (you can only get it from a vets pescription) so you can only get it from a vet. Hope your dog gets better!

A quick search on google has found a few online stores which will sell it although I doubt it will be any cheaper than your vet who I'm sure is not making a profit on it and you are not paying any shipping.
