When puppies are away from their litter for the first time, they will do a lot of whining. What you should do, is spend as much time as possible, with your new puppy when you are home. If you go out, if it's to a petstore, take him with you. Realize that this puppy just went from a home where he was never alone, to now, he feels he's all alone.

Hello,
I am a breeder of Siberians, a dog trainer and also train Sibes as sled and scooter dogs so I will see if I can help you.

Is he hot? Siberian Huskies get hot very very easily. If he is in the house and you have the heat on (or live where it's hot) he is getting over heated. Put him in a room that is cooler.

You should spend as much time with him as you can.

Whenever you are home have him with you (if he is not house broken yet keep on lead next to you). Sibes love fetch and make sure you start training him. He is plenty old enough to learn his name and how to come and sit.

Get him socialized by going to obedience classes or taking him to the park.

If you don't have cats then you will want to get him socialized around them. Sibes that are not socialized around cats will kill them as adults.

Sibes will also pull when walked on lead so get him a Gentle Leader not a prong or training (choke) collar.

Sibes are very smart so keep him busy. Mine are taught to open and close doors, pick up stuff I drop, get items off of shelves and get the mail (they also pull scooters and sleds).

They shed three times a year so make sure to have brushes ready.

Since you said "he" then he is most likely a male. Get him altered asap. He is already 12 wks to take him in and while he is there he can gets his rabies shot and 12 booster.

Getting a dog altered young is the key to having a great pet.
If altered young males won't mark or run.

Sibes are very independent so coming can be the hardest thing for them to learn and having a girl dog next door won't help (if he is un-altered).

Sibes also need a very good diet. They need a high protein diet and watch out for zinc problems (will start losing hair around their eyes and nose) get the highest quality dog food you can.

Do not give him puppy food that is milk based it will give him the runs for sure.

Make sure that he is up to date on him wormers to.

Good luck!

Huskies are very active dogs, so he needs a lot of exercise. Play with him a lot, take him on walks, and generally spend as much time as possible with him. It's like a baby, you don't just go off and ignore them.

You should spend as much time as you possibly have in a day with your puppy. Puppies are a lot of work and need as much care as a human baby.

as a previous dog owner winy dogs can mean many things. It could mean its hurting in someway, they are animals and they cant tel us whats wrong. He/She could just want ur attention, or feel lonely. Then theres the ones that are just VOCAL and "TALK" and there is really nothing u can do but talk back i know its crazy and all but hey it just might not stop...

Aww!

I would say he's crying because he's lonely. Chances are pretty good he'll outgrow it in time. But meanwhile you'll want to spend as much time with him as you reasonably can.

Good luck!

Maybe she misses her mom, just make sure to give her or him alot of love, and play with her and teach her or him new tricks..And then she'll probaly get used to your home and quit whining.. Hope it helps
