while breeding my female, my male penitrated her several times, but they never tied. can this still result in a pregnancy?

Yes it can still result in a pregnancy as he will still have ejaculated sperm into her. You can help this occur by holding the bitc.h on her back head pointed slightly down for several minutes. Usually during a tie the only thing being ejaculated is prostatic fluid, not sperm as that has already been deposited. A tie simply helps the sperm travel in as there is a continued flow of fluid for them to swim in. Also it prevents any from leaking out as there is a seal between the two animals.

Your dog can still get pregnant.
Breeder like to see a nice long tie time as it usually produces pups from one breeding session.
For a female that is not friendly or bad tempered with other dogs you would like to have it take only one time for a breeding.

I surely hope not. There are already too many dogs in the world. Have your dogs spayed/neutered, ASAP.

It might be possible, but normally, the ''tie'' is when the ejaculation is done.
