my dog just had puppies tonight and she had 4... 2 males and 2 females......the last one that was born was a female and she looks like all of the other pups.....black bodies and a brown head with white on the chest......but this little girl has a perfect white heart on her belly(so adorable).....what is a good name for her? they are small dogs (rat terrior and possible pug mix)

Whenever myself, or other family members and friends come through the front door, my Golden will see you and then have to run and grab a toy in her mouth...and then she'll come over very excitedly and greet you and snort with the toy still in her mouth. She squints her eyes too. It's very cute and everyone loves it.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the meaning of this? I of course don't think it's bad in any way...I was just wondering if anyone else has a dog that does the same and perhaps knows the psychology behind it. :)

I picked this tick off my dog yesterday and I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of tick it is. It is obviously a highly engorged tick and is about 1 cm long.

Here are some close up photos (I used my cell phone camera so the resolution is not great.) I took one of the top and two of the bottom.

My dog is a chihuahua cross jack russell. She is quite old already, but definitely less than 10 years old.She is one active dog and knows how to pray when she wants us to give her something-for example, when we bring her down, she usually will pray and whenever we give her treats, she would pray as well!

But,recently, like yesteday night, she started to tremble, and she is acting like a very timid dog.She did not pray anymore even when we wanted to bring her down or give her treats.Even worse, she would not even want to eat her favourite treats! When i cuddle her to sleep, she is still trembling.

I need help. What has happened to my dog?

My husband's dog, which is 16 yo, hasn't eaten well in a couple days. Now its breathing is labored. He's not is normal jovial self. We've noticed signs that he's just getting old, but now he seems like he's struggling. We'd take him to a vet, but there is not on close that is open 24 hrs.

She is not sick, I let her outside four to five times a day, she gets plenty of attention....so i don't know if she does it out of boredem or what. She was hous broken when we got her, I just have no idea why she does what she does......it is just absolutely insane! She urines in the house everywhere, I have tried sprays, nuetralizers, training pads, newspaper, everything, she just seems to ignore every thing and urinates somewhere in the house.....I just wonder if there are any other suggestions that might work....she is just a regular manchester sort of terrier mixed with something else...but I just really need suggestions...I have tried lots of different things to help her, but she just keeps going and doing her buisness everywhere, one moment shes wagging her tail happy the next she zips in a room and pees everywhere in the room, and she acts as if she has never done it until you see it. any help would do fine, thank you :)

My puppy is four and half months old and tonight I was playing catch with her. Well I had a blanket on me cause she was just going nuts and trying to bite me and when I looked there was blood on my blanket. I looked at her mouth and there was two holes were her teeth are suppose to be. Is that normal? Should I take her to a vet?

I have a male boxer who is 68lbs. We rescued him from a shelter and I didn't notice it then, but now (a few weeks later) I notice that he looks skinny. Like I can see his back bones. Now we had to take him to the vet right after we got him and he had an ok check, got a good bill of health so I wonder if he is loosing weight. I am feeding him good dog food (our friend works in feed and recommended it) and I just started feeding him 3cups instead of 2 cups a day. Is there anything else I should be doing, or is this normal? He is a very large dog so maybe his bones just stick out, I don't know it just seems odd to me.
Thanks

I have a black lab that always tries to hump our chiwauwau, and an english bulldog that always tries to hump the lab. By the way, the chiwauwau is the only female. Any way to stop this dirty, dog-porn behavior?
