little tic where he sort of like shivers or chatters his teeth. He is not cold, and its much more deliberate than a shiver or chill responce. He has no other symptoms and the upper respitory is totally gone. Is he being odd? I checked to see if maybe one of his teeth were giving him a problem, but could find nothing. Any ideas anyone? Ever heard of such a thing?

Uuummm, I got a dog from my friend. She's a black lab about 2 years old. They weren't taking care of her and she was starving. They were gonna take her to the pound... I've been wondering about these tiny patches of hair that keep falling out. But it's only on her legs. Mainly her back legs. Today I just noticed a few scab-like things on her feet. Well, my friend /just now/ decides to tell me that Nighque's mom had mange and died from it... -_- I've had Nigh for about 2-3 months now... *sigh* Please tell me that's not what it is. My mum's got enough trouble with money right now already as it is... Oh, and also, Nigh had a small patch of hair missing on her tail since I got her. My friend said she's had that since she was born, but nowe it looks like the hair is growing back. Here's some pics:

I have posted this previously.. However tonight I have had her on her back and can see movements in her tummy and feel light taps.

This is what I posted previously: I bought my 2 yr old female dog a couple of weeks ago and I think she may be pregnant because she has got slightly fatter and is eating me out of house and home. She was basically a puppy mill where I bought her from and therefore has already got large droopy nipples when I got her. The guy said this was because she has not long had puppys. She has an indentation (sort of looks like a scar) that runs in a line down her tummy as well.. I dunno if this is related. Im wondering if she was already pregnant before I got her and if there is a way to tell without paying my vet £80!! to feel her tummy. Thanks in advance. I forgot to mention that her stomach is feeling very tense and hard. If she is then I will let her have them obviously. Dunno wot I will do with the puppies tho :-/

My dog is 1 yr old, she went into heat on July 31, 2006 and had a false pregnancy. It has been about 12-13 weeks since the end of her last heat cycle, and she was standing for a male dog on October 27, 2006. She doesnt show any visual signs of being in heat, is there a possibility she can be pregnant????

All I see on this site when someone asks about breeding, or about cropping/docking is that others try and control the person asking the question. They get answers like "your an irresponsible pet owner if you don't spay or neuter your pet", or "you should never crop or dock your pet as it's cruel and your an irresponsible person for doing so".

If you feel like that, then worry about your own pets and not anyone elses. It's not your job to tell them what to do with their pet. If they want to breed, then so be it, it's their pet. Just answer the question, don't force your morals onto question asker.

Besides, half of the answers are animal rights rhetoric and propaganda. It's like these people are reading these sites and spouting word for word what these sites do. Spaying a dog at 8 weeks? Are you looking to cause the dog orthapedic issues down the road? There are studies that now show spaying/neutering at all can cause worse problems then it prevents.

So again I ask, why?

She's a golden retriever and only five months old. We took her to a specialist, and they said she was a 4, out of a 1- 4 scale, 4 being the worst and that she's in a lot of pain. To get everything fixed, it's 12,000 dollars, 6,000 for each hip. It is so sad and my family does not know what to do. We had her since she was 8 weeks old, and have become attached to her. Does anyone know a specialist in Southern California that will fix her for less? Please help! I do not want to put her to sleep! Thank you!

Sometimes if my hand is extended outward for any reason, my chocolate lab, will put her paw on my hand. I move my open hand away, and she will try to move her paw to where my hand is at. Why does she do that?

She can be outside for an hour and then come in and one minute later there's a big puddle. She still eats and drinks the same amount daily, nothing new going on at home either.

I have two puppies, 1 female 1/2 husky 1/2 malamute that is 3 months old and 1 St. benard puppy that is almost 2 months old. Me and my hubby have put them together on a leash and off and all they do is fight! I don't know if it's fighting because they arn't growling or showing teeth or anything like that. The Husky girl thinks she's the alph I think because she's always pushing the St. down. Me or my husband stop them when they fight or play like this because I'm scared the husky/malamute will hurt the sait because he's over a month younger then her. How long until they can run around outside together and now worry if one is gonna kill the other one? Should we let them be together on leashes or off leashes?

Both incidents of biting happened when we tried to take old food wrappers or trash out of his mouth while we were walking him. He grabs the items so quickly that often we can't stop him. My husband used his hand to try to take the trash out and the dog got very aggressive and nipped his hand. This happened about a year ago. The recent incident happened last week. The wrapper was dangling out of his mouth so I tried to step on it and he went wild and jumped up on me and injured my chest. I am badly bruised, but no puncture marks. There were two very small skin abrasions, but I am very sore. I had a tetanus shot and I am taking antibiotics. My vet wants the dog evaluated by a pet behaviorist to determine if he should stay with us. We've had him since he was about 10 weeks old. He will be six in January. He is very sweet and gentle at all other times. Please help if you can. This has been, and continues to be, very difficult for me. Thank you in advance.

My dog has a large tumor growing between his spine and right hip. There was a biopsy sent to the U. of Ks. Vet school. It came back as bone cancer. The tumor, after the biopsy, began to grow so large that it began to bleed through the healed incision. We took the dog back to the vet. She opened the wound and cleaned out the old blood. When we picked him (the dog) up the incision was left open about 2 inches. He was given antibiotics and we were told to call her if he starts hurting. He still eats well but is losing lots of weight. The wound area still drains blood so I guess this keep the pressure from building. We will put him down when he acts like he is hurting. Can anyone think of anything else to do.
We could have the tumor removed, we would have to take him to the U. of Ks Vet School. It would cost thousands and we were told it would do no good. We were also told that radation would not help. So should we put him down now or just take good care of him until him time is up.

I have 2 small dogs 8lbs. or so each, one yorkie-poo(14 months old) and one malti-poo(8 months old) that won't potty train. I think I have tried every avenue there is and am just totally frustrated now. Does anyone have any ideas or techniques they have found successful? Next step is going to be me locking them in crates for a few days only letting them out to go outside to the bathroom then back in crates...
