2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda
1 squirt liquid dish soap
mix in a bucket and sponge on the dog
let sit for 10-15 mintues. Rinse with plain water.
Works much better than tomato juice.
My dogs gets skunked about three times or so per year and I keep this stuff on hand all the time.

Sometimes a vinegar douche does work - I've never had much luck with tomato juice.
The peroxide/dish soap concoction posted elsewhere on this page also works but I wouldn't use it unless the "skunking" was really bad on a dog that has an oily coat (like a Chesapeake).
IF there is a chance the dog was "skunked" in or near its eyes rinse them really well with sterile saline solution (contact lens solution).

Douche??? why would a dog that needs to be de-skunked need an douche.
Beagels got sprayed when hunting, we used 1 LARGE can (like 1/2 gallon or so.. big metal can) of tomatoe juice mixed with 1/2 gallon vinegar & bottle of lemon with 1 gallon of water... put the dog in the tub. Soak entire body & rub it in!! let that soak in for 3- 5 minutes (the longer the better) then shampoo with a conditioning shampoo (even if it is your for your hair) as the acids in that mix can be rather harsh on your dogs skin
PS.. I have had to use this wash on myself as well :)

Besides numerous baths in with a normal dog shampoo and perhaps a few rinses of tomato juice, there is a product called Skunk-Off. Try it.

I heard that the best way to de-skunk a dog is to give him/her a bath in tomato soup. My aunt and uncle did it once with their dog and it worked great!!

There is only one thing i can think of that will work on anything and that is tomato juice but you can call a vet or a dog groomer where you live and ask them if anything else works.
