I just bought a cute (teacup) Chi. 6 months ols. He is still teething. He is barely eating. Dry food is not an option. None what so over. He just sniffs it that's all. He is ok with can food. I do not want him to get used to them though.
1- Bad breath
2- Bad for their health
Any suggestions for a brand of food that's mushy or easy to chew on?

I have a 12 week old Bichonpoo she is a sweetheart. But she wants to be held all the time. This is not possible when I am driving. I put her in a dog booster seat for her safety and mine. She screams the whole time not because she is unhappy in the car but because she wants me to hold her. If I reach over and pet her she is quiet. I go many places and plan on taking her with me how can I get her to settle down and realize this is a time she can't be held?

My dog sleeps in a kennel in the house at night and he whines a lot during the night. He is a miniature daschund and has short hair. We have tried leaving a light on, leaving a radio on and getting him a new bed that has hight sides on it in case he was getting cold. We tried leaving him out of the cage for a night and he just ran all over the house making lots of noise. Help!! We are not sleeping very well. He is almost two years old and we have had him since he was bout six months old. He just started doing this about a month ago.

It has gotten bigger but doesn't seem to bother him...to me it looks like a slightly larger than normal wart. Does anyone have any advice on what this may be or if I should worry.

She has lymphoma cancer and was treated with chemo two weeks ago, had terrible reaction, but did NOT go into remission (80% of dogs do!!). Has anyone had experience with this, and how long does she have?? She seems to be happy and playful (she is 13 years old). Will her dying be painful or will she suffer?

This is Allie, our 1 year old mix. We KNOW for sure that she is mostly boxer, but that there's some things mixed in too. Her ears are Huge, she looks like the flying nun when they blow back (if you don't know--google flying nun). But We're also heard pitbull--because of the shape of her ears. What do you think?

I've heard beagle, pit bull, german shepherd and lab the most. She's obviously mixed, but the only breed I really see in her is possibly beagle.

Care to take an educated guess?

At 8 months old she weighs 45 pounds and stands about 16-18 inches.

My folks adopted an older dog with peridontal disease. He just had 10 teeth extracted, unfortunately. After the operation, he felt very tired and did not have an appetite.

The dog was not that well-taken care of before the adoption--he ate a lot of human food and now refuses to be on a kibble diet. Thus, my folks gave him some chicken, rice, steamed vegeatables, and some crumbled kibble for food.

Now that he just had extractions, what should he eat? What else should they do to care for him?

My dog got to come home today from the vet. He is on his 5th day of this terrible disease. He is still a little lethargic. He ate some chicken and rice about noon and he wont eat anymore. The vet gave me nutri-cal and amoxicillin. I have force down about 4 syringes of chicken broth. Is this good for him and what else can I do? Is it normal to still be so lethargic? He drank water this morning and about noon. But nothing since. He is 9 lbs and 6 mo old. How much water does he need before I need to be concerned? Thank You.
