Yes it can...if you think your dog has consumed an amount of chocolate, contact your local vet asap. They will be able to advise you of what to do. If it is late where you are, you may have to contact your local ER vet

well if you r asking to give the dog some or if the dog already had some.....if already had some then how much chacolate if it was not that much i would not worry about it if it was i would just watch them and if they strat getting sick take the dog to the vet. If your thinking about giving the dog chacolate yeah then dont!
I had 3 chocolate cookies on a plate in my room and i heard my mom coming so i put the plate under my dresser and then i forgot about it.....& i was sittting watching tv the next day and looked down and saw the empty plate so my dog had eaten 3 chocolate chip cookies & she is perfectly fine and healthy but yeah jsut watch the dog for any wierd behavior.

Chocolate is toxic to dogs. The real dog killer is the dark chocolate. The milk chocolate is not good for him and in large quantities could make him sick...like vomitting and diarrhea, and really bad gas. But is he got ahold of a few M&Ms, he will survive. You can rest easy.

Yes! Mine ate the chocolate frosting off of a pastry from the store. I called the Vet and they recomended a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide mixed in his water. He threw up everything he ate, then was running around like a happy camper again!
But, if he/she doesn't throw up or seem like it helped than take them to the Vet immediately. I know hydrogen peroxide sounds awful but it makes them throw up, I know it would me!
