Absolutely yes, female are more territorial than males sometimes. females can't lift their to get it up high but they will mark at the base of the tree and will also go right over the top of where another dog went. It's a dominance thing for them alfa female.

Female dogs don't normally mark their territory like males and usually go all at once. But we have a female dog that once in awhile does squat more then once when walking with her. It's a dog thing and I won't worry about it.

It depends: At home or in familiar surroundings they go all at once, however...if they come to an area used by a lot of strange dogs, they may be excited enough to "spread it around". A dogs urine is sort of like a newspaper. They can tell alot about each other by the smell.

I think it depends on the dog. I had a female redbone and she would pick up her leg and mark her territory. I have also seen male dogs do like the females- they don't pick up there legs

Well it depends on the dog. Mine it goes about 3 times when i take her out but other times she goes once so i guess it would depend on the dog's mood, the weather, and stuff
