Usually the reason for excessive shedding is poor nutrition. As said before lamb and rice dog food tends to help shedding and so do added vitamins and minerals such as omega-3's. Another reason your dog maybe shedding is because it naturally does so. Some dogs such as schnauzers and other ones are known for not shedding whereas labs and others are heavy shedders. Hope this helps.

It could be just the time that the dog sheads. Or there could be something wrong with your dog. I would contact my vet to run some blood work if the "hair fall" does not clear up.

You have to take the dog to the vet and find out what is causing the hair loss and he will give you the proper treatment.

The dog is probably lacking essential vitamins in his diet. Try changing his food to a better brand then supplement it with Linotone which is a vitamin supplement sold in pet store. Also marketed under the name Lassie.

If you are feeding a vegetarian diet, it should have a lentil base, and many fresh vegetables..This is what we call lentils..You may have another name for them> http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-18,GGGL:en&q=lentils&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
Cook the lentils well, and the other vegetables not cooked as much..
No onions, or tomatoes... Fruits are good, but no grapes or raisins.

Well, that's what dogs do.. they shed. Brush him often (outside) to cut down on him shedding, but you can't stop it all together.
