she is 1yr old and was on her second cycle, she is a chocolate labradorxcollie and was mounted by a golden retriever she's not as large as him,she is chocolate but with collie height and slim face.If she is pregnant will she be okay parting with her pups? It's been 2 wks now is there anything i can do to prevent her from having pups without harming her.she was taken from her own mother at just 4 wks old and i rescued her from drug takers when she was 3 mths as a result she bearly leaves my side{even the toilet} she hates being on her own and wont stay outside she cries if i shut the back door when she's doing toilet. How do you think she will cope with being a mum?how will i cope coz she sleeps on my bed?

My lab is very lean and has a smooth coat. My neighbors lab is the same exact age and is much shorter and stockier with a thicker wavier coat. Their personalities are also very different. We have wondered how these 2 dogs could be of the same breed.

He's a St. Bernard and has skin allergies. We've taken him to the vet and had all kinds of tests run. The outcome is just that he has allergies. We've tried many thing, and I am tired of giving him high doses of allergy medications and steroids. I would like to know of some topical/natural things I can try to relieve his itching. I've heard essential oils and such work wonders. Also, I would need dosages/instructions for him. He's 150 lbs, and has long fur.

My Golden Retriever has a broken toe. He was chasing a rabbit at the park near our house and he must have hit something hard like a fallen branch or rock. So we took him to the vet the other day, they put a splint and cast on. The thing is, we didn't think he would need the cone (the thing that goes around the dogs neck to stop them getting at infections, etc). We went out for only 30 minutes and when we came back he had ripped the cast off, and while doing so he must have bitten his leg (the cone is now back on). His leg got infected from him licking it, so the vet gave us antibiotics, and he just won't take them.

We have tried everything! Covered them in peanut butter, put them in bread balls (he really likes bread), we tried to get into his throat but he's just so stubborn. He must have them or he will get sick from infection! What do I do?

My 6 month old dog keeps chewing on his blanket that he sleeps on. I know puppies will chew anything but he spends ages chewing on this blanket and tearing pieces off and eating it. I am rather concerned that this is not doing his digestion much good! Do you think he is hungry? I think we are feeding him enough - (twice a day) but its hard to tell - he is a labrador cross with an Alsation....we think! How do you know how much food to give? I go by the guidelines on the dogfood packet.

ok so theres this dog, its a dalmation and he lives in a dog house outside. He's chained to it. His chain is about 6ft long. I don't know exactly how old but i know he is about 10 year old. His nails are waayy to long that they're curling out, his collar it to tight, i think he has arthritis because when he tried to stand his front legs wobble/shake, and he has ..well i dont really know what it is but it looks like some kind of tumor or something. I really want to help him but how can i without the owners getting fined? The owners are around 80 years old and i think they had originally bought the dog for their daughter who has down sydrom (sp?). They don't have enough money for the dog and i don't really think they even want it. What can I do to help?

I cannot find pictures of uncut Doberman ears anywhere and I am really curious what they would look like. I have a Doberman/Shepherd mix puppy with the cutest floppy ears. She looks exactly like a pure Doberman puppy but I know that Shepherd ears perk up so I was wondering if I have a chance that they'll stay flopped over. So my question is, do Doberman ears automatically perk up even if you don't cut them?

I have a 3 year old daughter, and 2 dogs. A 10 year old cross breed and 3 year old rottweiler. I am in constant rows with my hubby as I refuse to allow my daughter to be around the dogs incase she is attacked. He is strongly of the opinion that there is no problem mixing children and dogs together. I am scared to go out incase he lets the dogs in to play with her. Anyone able to give me advice on how best to deal with the situation??? Thanks

She is a very small dog and has a lot of hair so it's kind of hard to tell. She also was chubby when we got her a couple of months ago from another family that didn't want her. We had already had a male puppy that we got last christmas and it's impossible to seperate them we're in the same house! We came home one time and caught them in the act. I have notice she isn't able to keep up with us on our walks and she has less energy than before and she isn't eating as much. Also, I woke up one morning to her throwing up in my room and she has a couple of other times. I don't want to transfer human signs of pregnancy to our dog but it seemed like morning sickness and i guess she has gained a couple of pounds around the stomache area. Please help....i'm only 20 and i have no idea what to look for!

Our 8 year old Jack Russell Terrier was crate trained as a pup. We had her completely housebroke, then one day she began having accidents in the house so we began the crate training all over again. Now as she gets older she will even go in her kennel. Sometimes even in her food dishes. When we put her outside on her runner, she'll come up on the porch and leave her "presents" there as well. She has even been known to hold her "movements" while outside and wait until she comes back in. We are moving to a new house and hate to make her an outside dog, but don't want the new floors ruined with her accidents either. What can we do? Help!
