I have a 1 year old Boston terrier who is really the coolest dog ever.I trained him all the basics; house training, obidience and i also taught him games. But about six months on from house training him he strated peeing everywhere. He knows its wrong and often has the back door open for him. He has not been castrated and i wonder if it him trying to be an alpha male. So i ask two questions, how do i get the smell and colour of his pee out of my wool carpet and why he keeps peeing.

My nieghbor bought a dog a year ago- Never brings it in the house. They keep the garage door open and put the food and water inside. Rain, sleet and snow- 100 degrees or freezing the dog is outside. The dog continues to get thinner by the day- Is this legal????

Can you tell me why my Great Dane puppy (8months) play fights with my son (19) when my son has him jump to his chest (like "give me a hug") paws at shoulders. he mouths at him (not biting) and low growl. My son doesn't like or encourage him to do this and he doesn't do it with anyone else who let's him jump on them like that. It becomes a conflict because it irritates my son and I don't like it. Does anyone know what the dog is "saying" when this happens. Just the other day my brother - n- law let him do that and he just licked his face and did mouth him but no growling or getting too out of control. I've told my son not to let him do it all, but he likes getting the hug and other people let the dog do it too. Sorry if this is confusing, and please only respond if you know what I'm trying to say and you have a suggestion.

My dog constantly licks the carpet. No matter where she is, whether or not she has food or water, theres seems to be no logical reason.

Our black lab just had a puppy but the she has mange so we brought the dog inside the house for 2 reasons because of course the mom has mange and also because it gets really really cold outside at night. Also the mother seems "unfit" she sits on the puppy's head and she steps on it and we wont allow it to eat from her nipples because the mange os down there also....We went to Petsmart and brougt puppy milk the puppy seems to be eating but is there anything i should look for and is it normal for it to whine while it is going to sleep we have it on a heat blanked wrapped up in another to keep it warm any other suggestions??

I have been instructed to give my dog 3cc of benadryl three times a day. I have tried every trick such as putting it in and on top of his food. I have also tried to put it in his water and he will not take it. I have asked someone to hold him while I attend to use the surge where the needle was, but no luck.

She's a Jack Russell terrier who is well-behaved otherwise. She rarely tries humping my husband or other animals or toys, but she grabs my arm between her paws and humps air. I'm wondering what I can do to discourage this behavior besides just telling her "no" and disengaging. Any help?

I read/heard/saw that you can tell if a dog is full blooded by looking at the roof of there mouth? If it's spotted, they are mixed but if it's soild it's full blood.
How can I tell without getting a DNA test or something done? I have a lab, and she looks really diffrent from others I've seen .She has a wavey coat, and fuzzy and thick since summer when she was a young pup.
So, how can I tell?

My daughter misses him so much and I though an extra "bed teddy" would help her get through the grieving process. Has anyone done or heard of anything similar?
