I have a Golden Retriever and the best thing to feed them is a well balanced dog food...She eats both canned and dry but I think it is sometimes better to make dry the main food with plenty of water available...also it can depend on the size of the dog as to what you feed them...smaller dogs eat smaller kibble...make sure it is a good quality dog food that has all the nutrients they need to help them grow and flourish.

Most dogs eat anything they can get their mouths on...food, sticks, toys, poop, dead things...pretty much gross stuff.
What should they eat? Nutritionally balanced dog food, treats, bones, and occasional table scraps.

I like Purina One Formula. I feed my American Bulldog 'Purina One Large Breed Dog Formula'. I feed my puppies and their mother 'Purina One Growth and Development Formula' mixed equally with 'Purina One Large Breed Puppy Formula'. I never feed them table scraps.

Feed it a meat based food. dogs need to have meat becuz they are carnivores. The first ingredient needs to be a meat. you could try pro plan

dogs are Omnivours they eat meat, fruit and veges...
alot of dog foods put some crappy fillers in and reduce the meat content.. when you feed this kind of food you need to feed more of it.. and therefore get more poops...
