I have 2 golden retriever/ lab mix puppys that are 11 weeks old. Is 45 degrees Fahrenheit too cold for us to leave them outside for couple of hours? What is there limit? Also what is the limit for an adult golden/ lab mix? Thanks!

9 month male australian shephard. He is WILD and loves to harrass my chihuahuas and kittens and jump on people. So I want to get him a play mate so he doesn't harrass any of us.

Don't want to get another australian because what if its wild just like him. Don't want pitbull because I'm afraid it may bite my chihuahuas.

Does it make their tails more sensitive or possibly uncomfortable for life?

Maybe dogs who have had that done to them don't like people touching their tails because they remember the pain from the first time someone touched it.

The jerks who had my girl first docked her tail and she doesn't like her tail to be touched at all.

I don't know if it could be that, or just a little quirk that she has. I just know that everytime I have to touch her tail for anything, she turns around as quickly as possible so that it can't be touched.

She's acting normally, so I will just wait to bring it up to the vet at her next appointment, unless of course it's really painful for her.

I have a male husky who suffers from seperation anxiety. I already have another husky to occupy him but he still has issues. He is an angel when we are home but if we leave he goes ballistic. We have hundreds of toys for them and are exercised well but we can not break this bad habit. I have spent hundreds in replacing the things that he has destroyed. He managed to get in our cupboard and eat a huge box of chocolates wrappers & all. I am thinking of getting a shock collar and setting up the web cam. Any other ideas?

I picked up a rescue dog from an animal shetler yesterday, they said he was a Polish Lowland Sheepdog. I find it hard to beleive that a dog of they type was not claimed at the shelter and was wondering if anyone could help me verify what type of breed this is. He is darling, shaggy and has a wonderful personality. Is approx 1 year old, has long beige/white hair with a soft undercoat and a purple tongue!!!! he is about 20 nches high. I have pictures that i can send for verification.

My friend would like a dog, but would like a quiet one since her next-doors complain a lot about other dogs. I never bothered to check out this information extensively since this has never been a problem for me. Size is not an issue in this matter, and neither is money.

My dog goes through these spells every once in a while where she swallows ALOT of times in a row and makes gagging noises, and sometimes goes in the yard and throws up. She also seems to like to eat grass during this time. It's very unsettling. She usually gets over it in 1-2 days and it happens about once a month or so. I've taken her to the vet but she wouldn't do it while she was there, so they couldn't tell me anything. Any idea what's going on here?

I was left with a friend's poodle mix and I am not sure how to take care of it. My housemate and I call him the 'party dog' because he can eat 4 pieces of pizza and lap up 2 beers in under 20 minutes. He gets respect from us for this and I cook him burritos and burgers to keep him fed. But lately he has been getting horrible bowel movements and throwing up all over himself and the yard. I cut back on the pizza on weekends and switched to low calorie TV dinners but he seems worse now. Pepto Bismol seemed to help and he doesn't vomit or go to the bathroom as much. What's wrong with party dog? Is he not getting enough grains? Should sandwiches be in his diet as well?

2 stories: My husband had a dog when we were dating about 9years ago. He found the dog laying on the ground taking his last breath almost dying and growing up people told us when a dog is sick give them milk. My husband gets the gallon of milk ,opens the dogs mouth and makes the dog drink it. After 5 minutes the dog gets up, almost falling but gets up and starts walking. That dog died of old age.
Another story: My small female chihuahua was coughing and vomiting and I gave her milk, within a few minutes, I no longer heard the cough and she stopped vomiting. Do my dogs just have strong digestive systems or what? Or does Milk really help sick dogs?Just wondering if anyone else has used this on there sick dog?
