We just found out earlier today that our black lab just had a puppy we want to know if there are more but we dont see or hear any we just see that one thats under her. She's running around and playing as usual and when she was pregnant her belly was big now its not.....Is it possible for her to just have one since she's had 2 previous litter's? Also my dad thinks she has mange whichis a type of dog disease is it safe for the puppy to be around her?

well first of all she might have had more but not in that same place so you might want to look at more places for more puppies.. also i would get her to a vet to make sure she is ok and if there is anymore pups inside of her that might be stuck in the birth canal,, also with the mange she will spead that to her pups if it is not treated so you need to get her to the vet for that also and take the pup with you and have the vet check out the pup to make sure the pup is ok,,, I hope this helps and congratulations to you on your new arrival of pups and keep us updated on how she is doing and if she had more pups

Dogs usually have more than one pup when they give birth; however, it would be wise to bring the Lab to a vet just for a check-up. They usually need one after giving birth anyway.

You might really think of taking the dog to the vet. She could still have puppies in her.

Well, i hate to tell you this, but some dogs eat some of their puppies. I doubt its mange (my mom's shepherd/chow is a carrier), But ask a vet

i suggest keeping a very close eye on your dog. reserch this deises and find out if its okay for the puppy. after all you dont want to loose it. its too cute to die so young! if there are more puppies in the house your dog will of couse go to them eventually to feed them, just in case serch your closets and other secret areas of the house for puppies. stay up all night just to make sure.

it's possible to have oe if they were born outside the puppy could of died:(

she probably ate them, and I am not kidding. Had a dog did that once.
