I HAD TWO DOGS THAT WERE OUTSIDE WE WENT OUT TO FEED THEM AND THEY WERE FINE. THE NEXT DAY I WENT OUT AND THEY WERENT HUNGREY AND ONE OF THEM DIDNT WANT TO GET UP AND HAD A COLD CHIN, HE WOULD WAG HIS TAIL BUT WOULDNT GET UP. WE LEFT FOR A LITTLE BIT AND CAME BACK AND HE WAS DEAD. WHAT WAS IT?

Hi doesn't sound like either & I've been in dogs for 54 years...one is that there nervous system comes under attack(distemper) & the other is very nasty smelly runs with extreme vomiting(Parvo)
SoI would say niether of the bove mentioned...try posioning would be more likely...only way to tell is by PM on your dogs...Regards Jake

Yup, it sounds more like poisoning. With parvo there would have been days of vomiting and diarrhea and distemper would have also shown up quite a bit before it was fatal.

Sounds more like Distemper. Parvo dogs have diarrhea and vomiting.

If you want to know for sure, have your vet do an autopsy. Then you'll have a better idea of what happened.

it was parvo one of my dogs had it but thankfully survived but then ran away... if it was acting lazy and wouldnt eat it was most likely parvo.

Only an autopsy could tell for sure. Either disease can kill the dog.

it sounds to me like maybe someone poisoned your dog...check around the area for evidence...or you can take the dog to the vet and let them determine the cause....sorry for your loss.
