You may want to check out Caesar Milian, the Dog Whisperer's site for some pointers and suggestions. You might even be able to find an inexpensive trainer in your area from the site too...good luck!

4-H offers dog training through clubs. Cost is $0-$10/year. However, unless your under 20 you are not eligible. You could try checking out a book from the library and teaching yourself how to teach :-). Best bet is just to pay for some quality lessons though.

I would recommend going to Petsmart to train your dog. They have professionals that will put your pup in a 6-8 week program for only 109 dollars.

Cheap dog training does not necessarily mean quality.

You want to find a trainer that focuses on positive dog training. The training should be customized to your dog...what works on one dog does not necessarily work on all dogs.

I do dog training, and also do email consultations. Visit my website and let me know if I can help you.

I go to petsmart. I don't go to my neighborhood one because I did not care for the trainers when I talked to them. THey have reasonable prices, but you really have to talk to the trainer and see how you like them. Some are very knowledgable, others just have their petsmart training of watching a few videos.

Find a good trainer, not a cheap one. You get what you pay for. Ask the vet for the name of a good dog trainer in your area.

Home. xD

I taught me dog:
Turn
Stay
Sit
Lay down
Jump
Stand
Cheer
Give paw(s)
Bow Hello.

Turn took a while and so did the 'Bow a Hello' thing.

My dog wasn't potty trained...it's just natural xD

You get what you pay for. Ask around and get some referrals. Don't shop for a trainer by price. they should all be close in price anyway.
