I love my dogs, I just can't handle the responsibility of two dogs and two babies!!!!! Can someone please help a "MOM IN NEED"?

Oh! I live in Oswego, NY (Oswego County)

At least tell me you were bright enough to get them neutered and spayed before throwing them away.

If it was me, I would find a no kill shelter. Where I live the humane society puts pitbulls to sleep here even if they arent aggressive. I would also reconsider what you are doing too because I have a two year old and I got my second dog while I was pregnant so my other dog would have a friend to play with outside and they could keep each other entertained. So now I have the best of both worlds. I have my dogs that I love very much and a little boy who has grown up with them. However my dogs aren't allowed near my little boy very often (I have two german sheperd mixes) because you never know. Good Luck to you and do what is best for you regardless of what anyone else says, you might have thought it was good at the time but it isnt working now so you do what you need to do. Why have two dogs if you don't feel you have enough time for them right?

I have two pits and I love pits. I would take them if I could.

Just please be very selective as who you give them too. Try to sell instead of give, to hopefully insure they are going to a good loving home. Make sure the person is going to keep them indoors and not make the dogs live outside. These are loving dogs and they deserve the best that there is.

The dogs will love those babies but if you are over whelmed, I can understand that, I guess.

Hopefully, you will find a safe good loving home for both of those (I am sure) gorgeous puppies.

One question:
Why did you take on a puppy, the six month old one when you knew you were pregnant and probably would not be able to handle both babies and dogs? Why not find a home for the younger pup and keep the older one?

Pitbulls and children are great together. My pitbulls love my grandchildren. The dogs will protect those babies.

Good Luck!! (especially for the puppies)

If you take them to a shelter they will kill them. Period.Simply because they are Pits. Call several vet's offices and ask them to put an ad up for you on their board. Dont give them to just anyone as they may wind up using them to fight dogs. I dont understand why you want to get rid of them. They will be wonderful protectors of your children.
Just whatever you do , dont dump them on the side of the road. We get dumped dogs out here all the time. I adopted a pitbull that was dumped that wouldnt leave her friend who had been run over and died. She was protecting it from birds and flies. I also adopted another one that was dumped out with her mother and her sisters from two different litters. The smallest pups were taken in and the others died one by one and i couldnt stand it any more and took in the last one that lived. People in the country take in as many as they can and then the others get run over, shot, killed , poisoned or starve to death or are killed by coyotes etc. I have 9 dogs now and 3 were abandoned dogs. If i take in any more my husband is gonna kill me. So please wait it out with an ad at the vet's offices, as i am sure most people in the country are in my situation as well.

Hi, umm, well the good news is I just got word that after being on a waiting list for, like, forever my number has come up and I have been selected to get a PUPPY!

So you see I need to know who you call to get rid of your kids, cuz Suzie might pull the puppy's tail or get slobber on it or eat its kibble. I really like my Suzie. She's an adorable 2 year old with blond hair and blue eyes. She is beginning to be toilet trained and speaks short words. I am just so heart-broken to give her up, but can anyone tell me where I can drop her off so I can get my PUPPY?

Its unforn that you are giving your dogs up because of having children--Pit bulls are great with kids when trained right--If you wont reconsider keeping them the best thing you can do for them is go to petfinder.com and click the link at the top for shelters/rescues PUT in your zip code and it will give you a list in your area--TRY to find a Pit Bull Rescue near you and contact them..PLEASE don't give them away to just anyone--its hard telling what will happen to them and nowadays with so many stupid people believing this breed is dangerous many shelters don't adopt them out...

i understand your feeling of being overwhelmed, enyone who has had kids knows taking care of one baby is tuff, two is giving up sleep permanently for at least a year and adding two puppies(more babies ) on top of it is mind blowing. thank you for realizing that the puppies are going to need more attention and energy than you can spare right now. i'm sure your local shelter can help you. the aspca may be able to place them with good homes. they are still young and trainable. i'm sure they can find someone with the energy these energetic dogs deserve

Hi

From experience I know that this breed is difficult to place (especially in my area of NY)-I would suggest that you contact an organization called "Out Of The Pits" which is located in NY, actually in the Albany area. They are reputable and will look to place your dogs for you in Pit friendly homes. Please, Please if you have any trouble contacting them, let me know and I will be more than happy to find an alternate number for the director of this group, as I had an abandoned Pit last year that she helped me with. Good Luck to you and thanks for doing the responsible thing. Susan

Call you local shelter and see if they will take them. There might be a small cost for that but if you want to do it right then that is how.
