10 - 12 is about it... same as the great dane.... giant breeds are still trying to figure out how to last longer. keep breeding the longest lived to the longest lived lines and we'll get there. :)

8-10 years if kept in good health.
Unfortunately, many have problems with arthritis, and they also tend to have problems with their eyes as the skin droops down and prevents them from closing completely in some bloodlines.
Hopefully, you are still looking for a puppy. In that case, talk to a few breeders and develop a relationship with them. They should be open and honest about the breeds common problems, but of course should show a passion and love for the breed.

As a general rule large breed dogs have a shorter life span than do smaller breeds.
8-10 years would be about average.

9 years - but those could be painful years if it has hip problems. (Too many amateur breeders don't consult a vet.)
Don't expect more than ten years, though.
