This is an elderly Pit Bull living in a garage in Florida. It sleeps on concrete. It has a very unsightly skin condition, said to be due to food allergies. The eye pus rings both eyes, or one at a time, and is yellowish, and sometimes greenish.

He recived his last shot on Monday the 14th and it was first noticed in the area about 4 days later. I tried a warm washcloth and I've even put pressure on it thinking it was a cyst but I have no clue and i've never heard of a dog getting a cyst. Im thinking the best idea is to take him back to the vet but I dont want to make an unneeded visit.

My dog has been neutered this morning and I wonder how long it will take until all his hormonal changes have occured. I am not expecting any wonders, but would like to know how long it takes until he stops feeling the urge to stray and mount other dogs.

We have just adopted a 12-15 year old Pomeranian who was a stray.

She must have food that she likes but won't eat the proper food that the vets gave her at The Humane Society. So far she has only got excited about spinach pizza and veggie cutlets.

Help! We are vegetarian and don't have meat to try her on. We suspect she was fed people food in a previous life.

Yesterday as I was walking home from work, a big St. Bernard ran to me and started to bark. Then I stopped a talk to the dog to calm him down. He stared at me and started to bark. His owner says that the dog isn't usually like this. My dad always says that dogs don't like me because they sense that I am not a dog person? Could it be possible. My dad says when he walks in his neighborhood, dogs never bark at him. What gives?

I live in a very old apartment building and my walls and ceiling seem to leak a black sooty dust. I dust about 2x a day and brush my dog just as often yet she is constantly grey. (Can't afford to move because I am on a fixed income, moving is not an option)

My dog recently spent a week at the vet's office recovering from surgery due to being attacked by a big dog. The vet said for us to keep her in the house except to "do her business." She has no trouble urinating when I have her on the leash, but she won't poop. I got her back yesterday afternoon. The vet asst. said that she had a bowel movement yesterday morning but she didn't go at all yesterday afternoon when she was with me. I can't just let her loose in my yard b/c I'm scared she'll wonder off or something. Any suggestions as to what I can do to help her out? I'm afraid that if she keeps holding it all in, she'll get constipated. I did lay out newspaper for her in case she had to go while I'm at work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
