trust me, i've researched them for awhile, im just now taking the 1st step, but if it does turn out that chocolate/red "yorkies" do ahve differnt=more health problems, then i'll probably get the registered version, p.s., i'm getting it from a friend, so i dont think its a scam, and wont be ridiculously priced like they always try to do

i used to groom dogs, and we had lots of yorkies come into our boutique. they're very cute, and always have lots of spunk. as far as health problems, i havent known of any that are common among chocolate/red, and not in registered. i do know from grooming, that chocolate/red yorkies are a little different. dogs with red hair always seem to have a different way about them. whether its in their temperment, or just their behavior in general. they seem to be a little more uneasy with people than dogs with other coat colors. we used to groom and red golden named lucy, and she was always very very timid of who was around her and what was going on. the owners of these dogs have never said anything about having a problem with them, whether it be with its health or behavior. not any more than anyone with any other breed of dog does. as long as you give it lots of love, i'm sure the dog will be very close and grateful, regardless of what color coat it has. hope this helps!

I have raised several yorkies and never even heard of this. Be careful you are not getting taken for a ride by some 'new fangled' definition of the latest yorkie label. If it's not listed on AKC it's hype or a trick or a scam.

Yorkies are pretty healthy little dogs. I love them and recommend them. Just look long and hard before you get anything other than a brown/bluesilver/black yorkie.

I wanted a Yorkie too... My sister use to work at the Vet hospital and she said they would get a lot of yorkies with health problems like allergies and such. She also advised me they are touch to keep groomed...you have to groom it every 4 weeks or else the hair will get tangled and nasty and it will look really bad when they get old if not taking care of before hand.

HELLO???
Have you ever SEEN a quality yorkie??

Ever read the BREED STANDARD???
ANY derivation from that STANDARD is a FAULT!!!

INCORRECT color is ***MAJOR/DISQUALIFYING*** FAULT!!!

Anybody would breed such a HORRIBLE fault -on purpose-MUST be ignorant & irresponsible & greedy *&* UN-ETHICAL!!!
