We have just adopted a 12-15 year old Pomeranian who was a stray.

She must have food that she likes but won't eat the proper food that the vets gave her at The Humane Society. So far she has only got excited about spinach pizza and veggie cutlets.

Help! We are vegetarian and don't have meat to try her on. We suspect she was fed people food in a previous life.

Dogs do not require meat. At her age, she will definately have tooth issues, she has probably lost most of them. vegetables are fine..no spices,,& ensure that they are soft & small enough for her to consume.....moisture will help. rice & vegetables would be great... mix with the dog food that you were given, she doesn`t require a lot of food , she is small. & senior,,, Enjoy her

She shouldn't have a problem with your veggie diet. Dogs don't need meat to survive. They have veggie dog food available. Just keep offering her what you eat and share. She is small and doesn't require much food. They especially like anything with cheese added. Good luck.

Dogs are carnivores they have to have meat!!!

They don't make vegetarian dog food she has to have meat.

At 12-15 have her teeth been checked?? She may not be eating because of her teeth.

Also boiled chicken. You could boil a pot of chicken breast every few days for her and keep it in the fridge. SHe is small she won't eat much.

breathe dogs do not need meat in their diet like cats do so they will survive on a veg. diet so don't go crazy and mix a little doggy chow with vegetables and slowly lessen the veggies until there is only chow in her dish
