I just got a puppy. She's an australian shephard/ lab mix. I got her b/c Imma big punk and I'm scared of my shadow so I wanted to have her to bark and alert me of intruders or unwanted exes. Anyway, she sweet as a honey bee and I'm not sure what to do to encourage some kind of aggression in her. However I don't want her attacking people on the streets or hurting children. I only want her to deter would be robbers and such. Any useful suggestions?

My lab girl is perfect to standard. he parents are champoins. Some people are telling me i should breed her and she will settle down.I got my dog for a companion, and she is the best. I don't think i want to deal with all that puppy stuff , besides i would end up keeping all the pups. I would have a hard time finding people that i think will care for them properly. Breeding is out. I love her energy, i am just hopeing that she will chill a little bit.

There are five newborn puppies in one of our local shelters without a mom. They will need to be bottle fed. Stray Animal adoption will provide all vet care till adopted and all food. We know this is a lot to ask but if we have to split them up to save them that is not a problem. If you give my your email I will send you pics

I'd noticed a couple days ago that my dog has a lump under her arm pit and I had attributed it to fleas which I have now taken care of. But today, I checked it again and it looks as though it is really itching her and that she has scratched it so much it is bleeding. It is soft to the touch and doesn't seem to bother her when I touch it. Could this be what they call a "hot spot" or should I be more concerned and take her to the vet?

I want to get a dog I can go hiking with, I have zeroed in on a labrador retriever as a perfect choice, but am concerned about the size of the dog and my apartment. A girl downstairs from me keeps a german shepard in her apartment, which is slightly smaller than mine, and she says that its no problem so long as he gets his exercise. Is this true? Can I keep a Lab in my apartment, would it be fair to him?
