I absolutely LOVE my Jack Russell terrier! Since I don't have kids yet, he is my baby! Some people think I'm a bit much because he IS a dog, but I don't care! I love him!

How is your pup your baby?

Our two older boys 10 and 8 are devistated. She was literally our oldest's bestfriend. Due to her death, I purchased Where the Red Fern Grows, for each of the boys to read. (They loved the book by the way.) They still miss her immensly, but would now like us to get a Redbone Hound.

We are in Wisconsin and can not locate a pup anywhere. Does anyone know of someone breeding or selling them?

I would appreciate any lead possible at this point.

It was a dark grey, and swelled up like a balloon. It was maybe a centimeter tall. My dog didn't act like he was in pain, but once we got the bug off, there was a little red divet in his forehead where the bug was. It was hard to get off, and once we squished it, a lot of blood came out. Any ideas?

In relation to that..Is there anything I can do to make it stop? Or is there like a medication that I can have her take to make it stop? I need help. I don't know what to do anymore. I was expecting it to last for a week but it seems like it's getting worse everyday. I have a pug dog if that information helps or do all breeds have the same menstrual period time span?

How do you go about finding the history about a fullbred redbone coonhound? We are looking to breed our female although how can you know if they are from the same litter of her or not? Or where to find a male with good papers ectt... As our female has all her papers.

I heard that its nearly impossible to breed boston terriers because they have suck large heads and broad shoulders when they are born that they require a c-section. Does anyone have any previous experience with this and is it expensive? Serious answers only because I will report you if its stupid...

My dog, as most do, goes crazy with fireworks, gunshots (we live in the county and there are always gunshots), thunder, even the sound of a basketball bouncing as the boys play, any loud noise. She has gotten so bad that now she destroys everything in her path - plants, tables, woodwork, everything. Bringing her inside is not an option because it's not my house and dogs are not allowed in. I would like to enjoy some of the fireworks myself, and I'm not really keen on having her in my car - dirt and hair, or druging her. Is there any technique - any method of comfort - control - leadership that I can offer her to calm her down. HELP!!

I'll try to keep this short. We have 3 indoor dogs.

Juliet, an Italian Greyhound, is our alpha dog. She's 9 and was an only dog for 3 years.

Griffin is another Italian Greyhound, who we've had for 6 years, he's a passive little boy.

Three years ago, we inherited a dachshund, Gretchen, who is about the same age as Juliet. She settled in fairly well, but just recently Juliet and Gretchen have been fighting...they had a blowout a couple months ago and two pretty decent arguments last night. Juliet starts this (jumping on Gretchen then screaming & snarling) but Gretchen can be aggressive when provoked and is twice Juliet's size.

I'm stumped as to why this is happening. We haven't had any changes at home and all dogs were neutered at a young age. Any ideas??

I have a male westie that I bought from a reputable breeder. He is about 6 months old and last time I had him into the vet they said that his testicles had not descended and he would have to have an opperation to have them removed, much like a female getting spayed. Is there anything that I can do about this or is the opperation the only option. What about the breeder, should I inform them about this or is it common, and if so why does this happen?
