A Tick would be my guess... it was filled up like a balloon w/ your dogs blood. Thats why there was so much blood when you got it off -- most of it was from inside the bug. Make sure to give your dog a bath w/ Tick Shampoo -- so you make sure that you get all of them/it off. Sometimes they can burrow deep, and part of the bug may still be in your dog. Ticks can cause diseases, so make sure to scrub the dog good :)

that's a type of concepts bugs from megastar deliver trooper ... oh wait, that's a tick! this is out, so confirm there are actually not any small dark lines interior the crater the place it got here from. If there are then the top got here off and additionally you ought to circulate to the vet to have that bumped off. shop the tick in a jar of alcohol and convey that to the vet too merely in case they opt to envision it for illnesses. i'm not an excellent run to the vet guy, because of the fact I do have an excellent kind of expiriance, yet this time, you ought to get to the vet if the top stayed in because of the fact it would desire to infect or reason fairly some illnesses that for the time of user-friendly terms a cleanly pulled tick does not reason.

That's a tick. Look for more and look for smaller. They are very little before they drink the dog's blood.
Also get a good flea and tick spot on. I use Bio Spot, but you can get Frontline or Advantix from your vet.

A tick. You need to get the head out with tweezers. Cover the wound with antibiotic ointment or at least soap and water.

Well everyone seems to think it was a tick, I think you should go with that. Ticks can cause very serious diseases so I think you should take your dog to the vet right away.
Hope everything turns out well!

i would say a tick.
one thing with those ticks, you HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE HEAD. the tick's head can live the rest of it's live attached to your dog, without it's body. for god's sake, MAKE SURE YOU GOT THE HEAD!!!
