I put K9 advantix on my dog and took her out to the country over the 4th, and she got into some ticks, and now her WHOLE body is covered, does anyone know how to get them off with the least amount of pain to her. they are biting hard, and won't let go, so she has huge sores.

Ok I'll try to keep this short - our neighbor has a 9 yr old son who likes to tease our dog when she's in her pen (she's never outside unless we're home so I've been able to watch him through the window). Our dog is a Doberman but contrary to her scary looks she is very people friendly (she was once a therapy dog with disabled children), and I'd really like her to stay this way! She will bark at strangers near our yard or when someone knocks on the door, so I think he likes to provoke her. I have watched him yell and scream and jump around, which is fairly harmless, but more alarmingly I've seen him throw things over the fence or call her over and try to poke her with sticks (the fence is 6ft/chain link). I've caught him in the middle of it at least 4 times now, each time going out and giving him a stern warning not to tease our dog anymore. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take it to his dad but don't want to cause hard feelings. How would you approach this?

and his hair hasn't grown back since. also he has patches where there is no fur and there is just scabbing on the skin. we have taken him to the vet numerous times and they've done blood tests and everything. they were thinking it was a vitamis deficiency but even on vitamins it only seems to get worse. what could be the cause?

Winston, my 60 pound pittbull is a lover, not a fighter. He gets along great with my mom's foster dogs ( 2 boys and a girl) and they are both older and younger than him, all are larger than him. We are looking to get him a perminent friend for home, a female and we want a dog that is in his groove... loving, intelligent, and playful. We've been looking at Petfinder.com and like american bull dogs, stafforshire terriors, rotts, mastiffs, and other larger breeds... what is your opinion on a good playmate ( new addition to our family)?

He is 8 weeks old. He has a small white spot under his chin and white under all of his paws. He was all black when we first got him, but now the new growth appears to be brownish-black. What color is he - is he considered a mismatch? His mother is silver and his dad is white.

I have a 9 year old beagle...she has always had a sensitive stomach.. lately she has started eating rocks, dirt, and licking the sidewalk every time she’s outside and then she comes inside and vomits...she also throws up quite frequently after she eats...I'm not sure if its the bread, that they tend to throw up a lot or if maybe she has an obstruction in her stomach....if anyones had a problem like this please any information would be helpful.

My female dog (can't even say b**ch here) is about a year old now and was recently in heat. I live in Korea where they have no gardens, so she has to do her stuff on a newspaper. Recently, when the urine dries, there is a crystallike residue on the newspaper that smells like ammonia. What is this and is it a bad thing?

The name tag on my dogs collar is to the point you can't read it anymore, are there any good sites to order a new name tag? I keep forgetting to swing by the vets office to get a new order form so I would like to order one of line.

I love my new puppy but she obviously made some accidents, what is the best product out there to get urine and feces out of carpet, and also, get the dog smell out of the house.

I heard that if you never spay your dog and she never has puppies she gets sick and dies. Also that if you never spay her she should have puppies at least once. Is that true?
