He is 8 weeks old. He has a small white spot under his chin and white under all of his paws. He was all black when we first got him, but now the new growth appears to be brownish-black. What color is he - is he considered a mismatch? His mother is silver and his dad is white.

I can't imagine he would stay black with his silver and white parents. There are is a really good color genetics website for my breed, there probably is for Poodles as well.

who knows...he could be 3 years before he turns silver..or he may just stay black

did you check with the vet? It could be a disease, if so get medication. I do not mean to scare you, it might not be that. I love poodles!!!
