It can vary quite a bit, if she is a rather large dog herself, say in the 15 to 20 lb range she would be probably have room for 5 or 6 babies.
If she is regular size, around 9 to 15 lb she should be able to have 3 or 4.
If she is under 9 lb there wont be a lot of room in there for the babies, she will probably have 2 or 3.
These are just guesses as to the number she will have, there will always be some that will surprise you ......the tiny one could have 4 babies and the larger one only have 3.
The bigger the stomach gets is often an indication of how large the litter will be.

Well, the most puppies a dog has ever had is 24, but a 2-4 puppies is about how many Mini Pinchers can have, which is a much more resonable amount!

I think 4 would be a large litter for a mini pin.
