I know that humans bite their nails with nailpolish on them and nothing happens, but she is a little minature shnauzer and I'm just scared she'll get sick if she bites it off or something.

i thought i taught my dog to do "down", but now that i compare it to books' illustrations, it loks more like a crouch. It just lloks like she is on the floor waiting to run. i've noticed in books, other dogs' "down" is like a position where there legs are spread out. i want to teach my dog to "rollover", but i can't , unless i push her to one side first. what should i do?

Does anyone else have this problem. She never did before, but she recently started having really bad seizures, and when I took her to the vet, this is what they told me was wrong. She is now on Phenobarbitol, and will be for the rest of her life, but the vet says that the medicine is very mild, and should not cause any major side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this?

We think he is sick. Can we wait overnight to call the vet? Also, can anyone tell me what sickness he has?

The dog pool has been collecting rainwater for the last day and I have noticed the dogs driking from it several times. My Great Dane has been really clingy tonight like she might be sick. It's also raining outside so maybe she doesn't want to go out and go potty in the rain? Not sure but thought I would see how the rainwater question would help me...

He's not an only dog, loved equally if not a little more, and he's chewed my summer shoes. He's rarely left without human companianship and I'm not his favorite parent tho he loves me. He's 3 years old and just started chewing lately. I work full time but "Daddy" is home when I am at work and vice versa.

She has lots of chew toys. But if it is on the floor or a coffee table she considers it fair game: scizzors, shoes, game controls, vacuum cleaner, disposable razors, etc.

I have an 8 month old 115 pound great dane named Buzz light year (we just call him Buzz). Anyway when we got him he was 4 months old and had an obvious hernia that had gone untreated. I took him to the vet the next day and he had surgery w/ in a week. He recovered fine but then a month ago he had some legions on his skin and irritation at the eye. The dr gave me some steriod pills and cream and he got better But now the weirdest thing just happened - He was sleeping here and he just let out this weird loud noise - i thought he had a bad dream so i woke him up and petted him and then i look down and he's gone pee pee and didn't seem to notice or care - (he's fully potty trained) then i noticed that his breathing was kind of heavy and his chest was moving up and down kinda fast. Was this just a bad dream or is Buzz having more medical problems? I really love this dog and appreciate any advice you guys have. Thanks
