who owns a west highland terrier? They are so nice and lovable, don't you think? :-)

A friend of mine does... Her name is Abbie. I was just talking to her tonight. She is a very sweet little dog and loves kids. My two daughters, ages 2 and 7, were loving her up, and she didn't mind a bit! *lol* She's the first one I've known very well, and I really like her. I've always loved terriers, though. They're so terribly clever and fun-loving.
Her human says that she keeps thinking she hears a mouse in the basement, and goes absolutely ape about it. He can't keep her away from the basement door. I guess he takes her way upstairs and puts her on the bed and gets her playing, and as soon as he stops, she takes off for the basement door like lightning. Haha! Yup. That's a terrier. He's just going to have to give up and let her down there. ;)

My friend has one and he is super hyper. He barks when outside, I mean barks all the time. She is elderly and she does have some problems with getting him to behave, he is still young. On the other hand I have a Maltese and I woud never have any other breed. This is the big dog love in my life and I am not forgetting the others I had . This little guy means the world to me and my husband. My husband has Alzheimer and walks the dog OFTEN forgetting that he has just done that. The dog loves it. Husband named him TOTO. Toto was easy to crate train and loves the cat too.

i have a minerature schnauzer which is very close to the same thing
but west highland terriers r very sweet too

Terriers are nice looking but are very active dogs.. they need a lot of mental stimulation or will be bored and distructive
