Nature's Miracle is a good product or if you use a carpet cleaner, most of them have a product cleaner that is used for Pet Stains. It actually neutralizes the odors, so even your pet can't smell it, and try to mess in the same spot

Febreze covers the odors for us, but does not neutralize it for the pets.

Another good product is Sol U Mel through Melaleuca, which is what I use. But you would have to sign up through them and become a member to purchase their products.

after cleaning the affected are thoroughly, with plenty of hot water and soap or detergent, the smell should pretty much be gone

if you can't clean it immediately then use odor neutralizing spray, such as febreeze or oust, to temporarily remove the smell

the thing with sprays is that they remove the overall dog smell from your furniture, rugs, etc. and they only mask the smell of urine and feces

so 1) clean up the area with warm water and soap and 2) if the smell is still partially there, use spray :-)

For your rug, get a Bissell Spot Rug Cleaner. Use the Pet and Odor Stain soap that is made for Bissell machines and you can then treat the accidents as they happen. Target has both things.

"Urine Gone." Its a urine cleaner. You can proboably get it at any store like target. It gets beneath the surface where the urine is! You can also use it for cleaning the bathroom area i think. It suppose to smell nice and gets rid of the odors!! Good luck with your puppy!!

Get or rent a carpet cleaner and use any cleaning solution, but mix in some white vinager with it not only will it bring the smell up, but your puppy won't want to potty there anymore.

If you have any "Oreck" stores around you, stop in and look for a can that covers all of the things you're asking about. It's an orange can and the directions state to shake the can and spray about 6" from stain, whatever - - it's in foam form and it works the best of anything I've tried. p.s. We have 2 Shih Tzu puppies.

Stanley Steemer. Febreeze only masks the odor. You need to steam clean. I know because I have an English Bulldog.

Protek is the best cleaner period!!! This stuff gets rid of the stench of pet odor (whether pee or poo) for good along with pet stains. It has a hundred or so uses, I bought it because the guy who was demonstrating it for me took a permanent marker and scribbled all over my white towel and then squirted it with Protek and ALL the marker was gone! The stuff is fabulous!

Get yourself some Natures Miracle from your pet store it not only will get rid of odors but you can use it to clean many things that are normally tough to clean like tile grout. You can also steam clean your carpets with it too and its all natural.
