The best answer I've seen is Poodles...Poodles do not shed. They are also hypoallergenic. Thats why your seeing alot of these cross breeds like goldendoodles and labradoodles. They are trying to get the best qualities of the retreivers with the nonshedding and nonalergenic qualities of the Poodle. Obviously hairless dogs wouldnt shed...but tend to be more alergenic.

Most breeds leave some hair and shed to some degree.
There are a few who are billed as hypoallergenic but to people with allergies most dogs will trigger them.
Some are better than others.
Look at www.akc.org at breeds you like and make sure that type of breed will fit into your lifestyle first. Some of the terrier breeds are very busy and need lots of attention and exercise and are to busy for some people. Research before you jump in.
Good luck.

lhasa apsos are non-shedding, they can be "cute" but they also tend to be REAL agressive (so owner beware), we had one, and if you don't like the mop look of them get him/her shaved, they end up looking like some sort of terrier. There are other non-shedding breeds, I don't know any of them off-hand, I got a doberman because they were short haired and they are "supposed to" not shed much, HA! That was a load of bull, I have to sweep my kitchen daily to get rid of all the dog hair!!! Also Pugs shed a lot, so whoever answered that short haired breeds don't shed doesn't have a CLUE! Oh my mom also has a bishon freese (not sure on the spelling) and it doesn't leave too much hair around.

properly it relies upon on the dogs & the lady friend. a customary human loses one hundred hairs an afternoon - if her hair is lengthy, it may appear like it really is plenty. a customary dogs loses about 500 hairs an afternoon - depending, it will be a lengthy-haired dogs that needs to be groomed, then in case you sweep it, you'll have a ton of hair, if the dogs is shaved, it is going to likely be next to not some thing. different circumstances the dogs is laying off it really is coat, about 2x a 365 days - spring and fall - and there'll be tufts in each and every single position. i imagine the recommended selection to it quite is extra acceptable is weighed in this - which one is extra dependable? Which one do you adore extra? are you able to stay with their hair loss?

West Highland Terriers don't shed much as all. I have one about 6 months old and I rarely see his hair lying around. It is recommended that you brush them twice a week to keep from shedding, but I don't brush him that often and shedding is still minimal. I think a shitzu and other long hair breeds have little if any amount of shedding.

Poodles and Yorkies don't shed and obviously hairless dogs don't shed. Any dog that has to go to the groomer and be clipped usually don't shed. Just because dogs have short hair doesn't mean they don't shed.
Most dogs do shed. I have a Pug and he sheds like a buffalo.

A Labradoodle (cross between a Lab and a Poodle) is a non-shedding dog. Also a Weimaraner doesn't shed much at all.

West Highland Terriors don't shed... but they are very playful and need to be walked at least twice a day... they also are prone to bark and chase animals...

they are very sweet dogs and make very good pets...

don't just buy a dog because of their shedding... buy a dog that suits your lifestyle and personality.
