I had a chow chow for 10yrs and got a golden from a local shelter and she is the best dog i have ever owed ,however they are chewers.

Golden Retrievers don't like to be left alone very much. They get very lonely when left in the yard with nothing to do. It's good to go outside to spend time with your dog, or to let your Golden in the house. If he has learned the house rules, everyone will be happy to have him in the house.

Goldens are very trainable. That means they learn quickly when taught with patience and kindness.

Goldens, like all dogs have to be TRAINED how to behave... but YES they are easy to train.

it depends on how well they are trained. goldens aren't the smartest dogs out there, but they are sweet.

Yes! They are GREAT dogs! Great with kids, calm demeanor, playful, but the do shed! =)

Any dog can be well behaved..it's all in how they're trianed.

yes, they are very well-behaved, mine always listened, and was never too roudy
