We've given her rice and some chicken chunks to help her stomach and try to keep her away from the cat's food and her own wet food as much as possible but she's still throwing everything up and having major diareah... she munches on the grass but theres no grass in her throw up .. plus shes been traveling
what can i do in her diet or whatever to help her? Also- have you heard CEASER puppy food? What are your comments on that?

A friend of mine, has a 3 year old, and lives in not tiny, but a small enough house. Well anyways, she came by the other day to show me her new puppy (her Fiance brought it home) I think he paid somewhere between 500$ and 1000$ He bought her a Great Dane. They know NOTHING about the breed, other than the fact that they are big and it's the same breed as scooby-doo. She doesn't know how fast their little bones grow and how you have to watch them from jumping and etc, because of hip dysplasia, and that Great Danes can get bloat and how much their going to be spending a month on dog food, + the size of their house may not go so well with the size of the dog, and that Danes get hyper (like any other puppy) and will probably (not intentionallly)but will plow over their kid, I tried to tell her some of these things and (trying not to be rude and thinking I know it all)and she told me that they've had a dog before, and a dog is a dog. I want to help for the pup's sake, but without being rude.

My dog had to have the teeth behind the canine teeth pulled yesterday and I had asked if he needed to be on soft food. I was told that the teeth that were pulled they don't use, but when I went to rinse out his mouth after I had fed him, I started to worry that those were his chewing teeth and he might not be able to eat hard kibble afterall. Don't dogs use their back teeth for chewing the same way that people do? I don't want to give him hard kibble if it will make him sore, yet I know that soft food isn't good for his teeth. Help!

My 6 month old lab/great pyranese cross has suddenly started having trouble peeing. Yesterday he was peeing fine but this morning he stands there and the pee if it comes out at all it just trickles out. He doesn't wine or cry when peeing but when he's done and in the house he wines to go back out and try again. Is there anything i can give him or try with him? Should i just wait a couple days? I dont have alot of money to take him to the vet (hes supposed to get neutered next week) but of course i would if needed because i dont want him to suffer in any way. Any advice would be great thanks so much!

We have had our Jack Russell Terrer 3 years, he is nearly 6, we are out at work 4 hours at a time each day in the week and thought for company we would adopt another dog from a home who is the same size and about 4. Well we have had them together for nearly a week and they appeared to get on so well, until last evening Louie our jack russell jumped on to Max and was showing his teeth, there was no reason for this, Max was just lying on the floor and Louie on setie.

Max did not fight, we pulled them away from each other and put Louie in another room then gave time out, we then let them back in the same room and they seemed fine. Is this our other dog trying to just show he is above max in the pack, both are male and been castrated.

It is the first time we have had two dogs so it is new to us, what do people think or advise.

Thanks in advance, Wayne

I am 14 I have 1 sister and 2 litle brothers who are twin and have tons of energy and all of use kids + my mom wants a dog but my dad wont let us have one. I almost have him hooked on the idea but i cant push him to get a dog and all my attempts pull him away. I need 2 deal with that first. After that i need to pick a dog breed. I want a male dog and i want something small and full of energy that can take care of itself while i am a school for the horrible 8 hours that the state makes me go through. The dog will be mainly my responsibility and i need something that is low matenence. I also want something that is not prone to cancer or stuff like that. What type of Dog should i get and how do i get my dad to let me have one? ohhh. and i want a puppy not a dog.

I know I should take her to the vet, but before you start blasting me, the Vet in Mannheim is closed, the one in Heidelberg has no appts till the 25th and the one in K-town has none till Monday. There are no emergency services available. She has started urinating in the house, too. She is a 6y/o Rottweiler. Her poo is like diarreah and the blood comes out w/some snotty looking substance. I have not changed her food and she SEEMS happy and healthy. She doesn't want to play as much, though, and I have stopped playing with her since this started. Its been 2 days.

My cocker spaniel, age 10, is getting her 2nd operation for knee problems. After surgery she will have to be confined in a crate or play pen for four weeks and ordinarily, she follows me from room to room. How can I make her confinement more bearable for her? I try to be with her nearby as much as possible. I will have to lift her up steps. Not easy when she's 33 lbs.Last time I took her for walks in a little red wagon, tied her to it, but it scared her too bad.
