I know I should take her to the vet, but before you start blasting me, the Vet in Mannheim is closed, the one in Heidelberg has no appts till the 25th and the one in K-town has none till Monday. There are no emergency services available. She has started urinating in the house, too. She is a 6y/o Rottweiler. Her poo is like diarreah and the blood comes out w/some snotty looking substance. I have not changed her food and she SEEMS happy and healthy. She doesn't want to play as much, though, and I have stopped playing with her since this started. Its been 2 days.

ONCE AGAIN... I cannot take her to the vet till Monday. I tried to call and even told them I would sit there in case they had an oppening or a no-show and they said, "no."

She has no fleas or ticks. She may have picked up a parasite during a walk, but no fleas or ticks. All vaccinations are current, too.

Not Parvo. She isn't vommiting and she is still eating and drinking. The blood colors are not consistent. Sometimes it looks like it could be a rectal tear and sometimes it is a deeper red color. It has never been thick, deep red blood, though. No bones. I dont feed my pups people food.

Sorry to seem defensive, I am worried and none of tehse vets will HELP me! I thought folks got into that line of work to help pet owners. The records are locked up in the Mannheim clinic and the civilian places I have called wont take her w/o the records. I just thought maybe someone had expirienced this prob and could tell me things it may be. I did talk to a lady over the phone, but she said to take her in and I am not able to right this minute.

The lady I talked to was a vet assistant and was not telling me to bring the dog into her clinin. She just told me to go see a vet. That last message could have been misunderstood. I would take my dog to the vet, They just have no openings for me.

For a start I am not a vet, nor am I an expert on much of anything.
There is worrisome blood and not so worrisome blood. The dark, almost black blood comes from inside and is a "get to the vet NOW" kinda thing. If the blood is bright red, it's more than likely coming from right in the rectal area...maybe a fissure? I had a dog who scared the heck out of me with bleeding that was only a fissure...just a little crack in the skin of the rectum. And it usually happened a few weeks after his anal glads needed expressing.
Please understand that I am NOT telling you this isn't something to watch closely and call the vet about. But, I'd be rushing you her to the vet appointment or not if this were dark blood.

a dog does not have to throw up to be parvo . so just in case watch to be sure the dog eats and drinks if not and I'm not positive of the name there is a paste that you can give the dog . its like ensure for people . chicken soup and Gatorade . The other thing could be that the dog ate something that is stuck and causing damage . I would call another vet . SPCA , animal control, or go to another town get this dog some help

sounds like she may have a parasite yes she need to goto vet when you go take a stool sample with you its better than having the vet take a sample cause they stick a probe up the dogs butt and your rottie will be upset with that...
another thing it may be which was the case for my cat is flea dirt, Use a flea comb to search for adult fleas residing in your dog's fur. You can also check for flea dirt by combing your dog over a clean white paper towel. Flea dirt is actually flea feces and is comprised of digested blood. Flea dirt looks like black pepper specks that may cause white paper towels to turn red when wet
sounds like it could be parvo check with neighbors make sure theres none going around.

Maybe she ate something to cause intestinal distress. If your vet can't see her, then you need to find another vet...... even if you have to drive a distance. Being defensive about not being able to get into your vet is not going to help your baby. She needs help and as her guardian, it's your responsibility to get that help for her!
Edited to add: It's never a good idea to base your decision on what other people's dogs experiences have been. The bottom line is that this is an indication of a potentially serious problem, and your dog needs to see a vet. I know it's difficult, but you need to find one and get there. Check with your friends about their vets. Maybe they can call and get you in.

i have a maltese who does this every once in a while. she started doing it years ago. it lasts until i freak out long enough to make her an appointment. when she goes in for her appointment there's nothing wrong. so i spend $200 on nothing.
i have come to the conclusion it must have something to do with false pregnancy or being in heat because it happens 2 times a year. it lasts for about 2 weeks and stops just as easily as it started.

even though she apears happy and healthy ,
the symptoms you give ,point to something wrong with her.
this is serious, get her to the Emergency vet .
Mean-while ;
give her plenty of fluids and a very little light food,
( if she is still vomiting (stop food for 24 hours )
i hope she will be better soon
Keep trying that vet .
:)

When was the last time she was wormed? Dogs that have worms will pass bloody mucus stools. You need to take her and have her checked out. If it is worms and it keeps going on it can kill her.

has your dog had it's parvo vac? its rare for adult dogs to get parvo...but possible, esp. if your dog has NOT been vaccinated...its a $12.00 shot.
anyways....if its not that, it could be a stomach virus, a bacterial infection, parasites, tear in the intestines, intestinal blockage..the possibilities are endless. if you cant see a vet till Monday, perhaps one will at least TALK to you on the phone. if not...call your local SPCA, they have vets they work with, or they could recommend someone.
if find it crazy that their isn't a vet on call! i live in the sticks and our town has 10 vets that take turns on the emergency "on call" service.
just keep her hydrated and comfortable. and try to talk to someone at least.

Gave you your dog any bones at the last few days? If so, it causes the described symptoms too, because chewed bones work like sandpaper in the innards off your dog!

Maybe you can get her to a different vet in a nearby town. It sounds urgent. Do whatever is in your ability to get her to a vet, if something happens to her you may have a hard time forgiving yourself.
