you are right...a spitz, especially a female, has to be one of the hardest dogs to train. something i have tried, and had good success with, is this. the next piddle she does, soak it up with newspaper, take the paper close to the door you would use to let her out., and lay it there. show her the piddle paper often, and she should piddle on it again. praise!!! every few days, or even weeks, move the piddle paper(do change it once she starts going to it on her own) closer and closer to the door. after a few days, move that same paper outside the door. she should, by then, go to the door and scratch or whine to go out. bye-bye piddle paper. and praises galore to pup.

Please do not cover the nose or mouth! You could kill your puppy!
Here's what you do.
Take your puppy outdoors at regular intervals. Have a small treat in your pocket when you go out.. Say to your puppy a phrase that you will repeat over and over later like, "Let's go outside and pee-pee so you can get a dog bisquit". If your pup pees, praise her and say: "Good girl! You pee-peed outside. Now you get a dog bisquit!" Give it to her and make a big thing of her peeing outside.
Do this each time you take her out. Puppies need to urinate more often than adult dogs and have less control of their bladders, so she will still make some mistakes. Buy some Piddle Pads and place them in a spot away from where you and she "live" so she can go there if you can't take her out.
Continue the praise her when she does good and use no negatives like bopping her, or yelling at her and in time you will have a super behaved dog.
The easiest way to let dogs go outside is a pet door, or "doggie door". That way, once they learn they can go out whenever they want. I have found Johnson doggie doors to be excellent.
They key to good training is repeating the same reward and words of praise.
Dog crate training is also good. You can find it on the web.
Good luck and enjoy your new best friend!

Take puppy outside every half hour to an hour... depends on how often it pees... and yes, it means at night too... Always have puppy within sight, after a while you will notice certain behavior before he/she needs to go and you'll know it's time to take him/her out. Also don't let him/her run unattended all over the house, put gates on doors to prevent not only peeing accindents but also puppy getting hurt...
Good luck! And believe me it is so worth going through! They pay off is close! Try no scream or hit puppy... you are the only human he/she knows and trusts and love... and you don't want to have a nervous, scared of everything dog....

Use some Pavlovonian conditioning to teach it to pee outside. Watch near the end of Bruce Almighty to see what I mean.

the first thing to remember about house training a puppy is there ability to hold themselves is limited. a rule of thumb is they can hold "it" usually 1 hour for each month of age. 2 months old = 2 hours, 3 months old = 3 hours, etc. when your puppy wakes up (morning, nap, whatever) the pup has to go, right then! take the pup out. when the pup eats or drinks, it has to go, take the pup out. after exercise (play), take the pup out. when the pup does it's thing outside praise it. a lot. tell the pup how good, how smart it is. you have to pay attention to the pups "looking for it's spot" behavior. when you see that behavior indoors, whisk the pup out. if you catch the pup in the act, simply tell it "NO!" and whisk it outside. if you find a puddle or pile after the fact, clean it up with an enzyme cleaner (pet food store) get a newspaper and hit.... yourself in the head and say "i should have been paying more attention" daytime training they get pretty fast. night time training is easier if you crate train the pup. also remember the one hour/one month rule. you will have to get up through the night to take the pup out. good luck.

If you have truly tried everything then the only thing left is to check for a urinary tract infection.See your vet to have that at least ruled out. If not then you need to get the advice of a PROFESSIONAL dog trainer.

Put her on a runner thing and leave her outside for a while. Thats what all my neighbors do with their dogs. Just leave her outside. And maybe if you live in a neighbor hood she will see other dogs and copy them! And then LEARN not to go in the house!

just dab a small cloth in the dog's urine and then use it on outdoors where you want the dog to pee . this way u can make the dog understand that it's area to pee is broader than the house it is kept in
