The name I would choose would depend on the breed, coloring, where the dog came from, sex, age, attitude, behavior, etc....etc....

If I had a big black male mastiff I would name him Thundar, Goliath, or Brutus.

I have seven dogs, their names are: Lady Zoe, Taz, Trinity, Honey-Girl, Abby, Snickers, Aurora Borialis (such a silly alice). In the past I have had Tawny-black, Tiggerus Euphratease, Tippy, Tok-tie, Taffy, Coaco, Chi-Chi, another Honey-Girl, Psyche, and Ping Pong.

It all depends on the dog. You need to look at it and watch it and see if it does something special or looks like something you like. I've had many dogs over the years. One dog was all black with white paws so we named her Sneakers! Another was named Shadow because he was all black and followed us all the time.

Depends on the dog. My dog (for 15 years) was named Max. He was a wonderful little guy and we all miss him very much.

I have a dog that is a blue heeler- since she was thrown out of a moving car along with her two other sisters in front of a construction sight as a pup I decided to name her Chanci (female form of Chance)

I have 2 dogs. I named them Sarah and Emma. But if I had a wolverine, I would name her Fluffy.

I have 2 dogs. One is named Lord Stanley's Fedorov (Sergei) and the other is Lord Stanley's Murphy (Murphy). We also used to have a dog named Lord Stanley's Konstantinov (Vladdi). I always name my dogs something I love, but would never name my children.
