I know I want a little girl kitten, and I am torn between 2 names. 1st is Stella, after the Grateful Dead song "Stella Blue" plus the movie A Street Car Name Desire, it would be cool to call her "Stella!!!", 2nd name is Sally, after my favorite Aunt who passed away a few years ago, she really loved cats herself and I really miss her. Which name would fit s kitten better? Thanks

I have a long haired cat, hair gets all over! On sofas rugs etc.
Is it possible to get my cat groomed in petsmart/petco. If so how much would it cost?

How could I bring her there, she doesnt like to be held for too long, would a leash work like is there one special for cats?

what other things could I get done to her to make her happy and pretty lol.

Thanks, alot!!!!

Recently, my indoor-only cats got fleas. I don't have the means (or enough cat carriers) to get them to the vet, so I've bought the over-the-counter sprays and shampoos, which helped a lot. However, my one cat who was affected the most by these fleas now has worms, which I understand can come from ingesting fleas (gross). The worms my cat has look kind of like squiggly white rice. She also feels "rattly" when I hold her. I don't know if it's because her last bath made her sick, or if it's from the worms. This is new to me. The other 2 cats do not appear to be affected by worms. Is there a treatment I can buy for my cat without bringing her into the vet?

I have had this kitten since he was 1 week old, and I raised him since then, bottle fed and made him poop. Now "Hercules" is 4 mths or so...I was wondering if most kittens like, put their face in yours and just try to keep getting closer and closer to you when you lay with them and why they do it and if mine is particulary affectionate or if that's just the way cats are.

I just posted a question about keeping my cat away from the Christmas tree, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with repellent sprays like Boundary? I'm thinking about going and getting some on my lunch hour or after work today just because I'm at my wits ends with my male cat attacking our Christmas tree and shattering all our ornaments. Has this product worked for anyone? We've tried everything else (water bottle, pepper spray on the tree, etc.) but nothing else works. We also have a fake tree for the first time this year and the cat STILL can't get enough of it.

it's been 3 wks. we've adopted a 4 month old male kitten, "Balieze". Our older cat, Gabriella still hisses at him a LOT actually, however in certain ways she's been adjusting I've noticed.
ppl generally have said that the average amount of time would be 3 months and the two could actually even become fond of one another.
he is TRYING to get her attention, play w/her,but miss Gabriella just wants to show him who's boss I guess.

Have you ever encountered this problem w/new pets, cats particuliarly, and did they eventually learn to accept one another in time? IS there still a chance I'd come home one day from work and actually see them snuggling?
[right now cannot picture is, lol]

One of us has a minor pet allergy so we keep our bedroom door closed to minimize pet allergens in our sleeping area. However, starting about a month ago and each and every night since, our neutered 4 y .o. cat starts scratching our door starting any time between 12-4am, continuing NONSTOP until morning. As a kitten he was disciplined with a water spray bottle but no amount of spraying, or presenting him with that intent, has curbed this new behavior. I lined the door with fabric but he clawed through it until the wood was reexposed. The layout of our small condo provides only 2 rooms where he could be isolated overnight. One would keep our child awake, the other is nearby enough so his scratching to get out would be heard by all. Until recently this was never a problem so we don't know what started it. We give him lots of love every night before bed. Please, we need other ideas! And please, no uproars about the spray bottle. This is documented, safe discipline for cats.

Hello,
I have an 11.5 year old male (LH mancoon)cat that became sick Thursday. We took him to the vet Friday. They told us it would cost $500-$1000 to have tests ran to see what could be wrong with him. We can't afford it with a 2 year old to feed as 1st priority.
We paid $200. to have him injected with fluids under his skin and they sent us home with clovomax (sp?). they told us to monitor him and bring him back Monday if he hasn't improved. He has been throwing up since yesterdaym it is yellow stomach bile. His pee is orange and thick. He seems in better spirits today but I think it is just because he is slightly more hydrated. What could be causing this? What tests are necessary to resolve this? Are there some that can be eliminated to help us with cost?
Is there anything I can do for him at home to help keep him nourished? I have tried giving him food/water but he vomits it back up.

Please help, we LOVE our cat and can't stand to see him like this.

Thanks,
Chrissy

This kitten bites so much, you can hardley pet him. And he'll jump on your back side and claw his way up your back. He is really getting to be too much!

He just dropped, and he seems to randomly put off the odor of "spray", but doesn't actually spray. It happens while he's sleeping, mostly. Help me, please. Any way I can control this? Or figure out what's going on?
