I just posted a question about keeping my cat away from the Christmas tree, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with repellent sprays like Boundary? I'm thinking about going and getting some on my lunch hour or after work today just because I'm at my wits ends with my male cat attacking our Christmas tree and shattering all our ornaments. Has this product worked for anyone? We've tried everything else (water bottle, pepper spray on the tree, etc.) but nothing else works. We also have a fake tree for the first time this year and the cat STILL can't get enough of it.

It seems to work for a little while, until it wears off, which doesn't always take very long at all.

I'd say it's worth a try, because every cat is different, but it probably won't fix the problem in the long run.

It works for about half an hour. We tried it and something like it last year. Less than impressed with it. We pretty much have crappy ornaments and none at all on the bottom half. And the tree is teathered to the ceiling and wall with fishing line. Mine will sleep IN the tree. I find cat toys IN the tree all the time. We have a fake also. Had it since last year and it is pretty well trashed.
We are thinking of a Christmas "Branch" for next year that we can mount on the wall.

yes I have heard that this product does work, you can also try using lemons, cut them into fours and put them around the tree..i know it sounds nuts, but the scent of the lemon to a cat is very strong. Even lemon juice as well...good luck and I hope this saves your tree!
