Can anyone give me some advice on how to keep my kitten out of the Christmas tree? He's climbing in it and knocking everything off! The spray bottle dooesn't work.

Uhm. First off, it's useless, and therefore WRONG to smack a cat. They'll never learn. You just have to let them do what they want and come up with a way to keep your ornaments attached. You can get twistie ties or something.

Cats dislike the smell of menthol or eucalyptus oil. Add a few drops to water and spray a mist of this over the tree, or smear the oil directly onto it. My cats were chewing the lower branches of my fibre optic tree, and I've found this has put them off going near it. The good thing about this deterrent, is that it works when I'm not around to keep an eye on them.

You can also surround the base of the tree with pine cones which you have scented with menthol or eucalyptus. Cats hate the feel of pine cones underfoot, so it also helps stop them wanting to get to close to the tree.

bend the hooks down on the ornaments ,this will secure them tightly to the tree and put fragile one near the top, make sure you use a good tree stand, sorry there is no way to make them stop unless you sit by the tree 24 -7. let kitty enjoy the season too. Merry Christmas.

I have changed nearly all of my ornaments to soft, cloth-like materials so they don't fall off easily and won't break when they hit the floor. If Kitty wants in there, he will try and try and try... One year my boy knocked the whole thing over!

Buy unbreakable plastic ornaments and avoid tinsel. Cats will be cats.

Or, buy him his own tree, spray it with catnip and hope for the best.

Our cat does that too, so we put up a playpen fence around it. We also had to attach it to the wall.
