I have had this kitten since he was 1 week old, and I raised him since then, bottle fed and made him poop. Now "Hercules" is 4 mths or so...I was wondering if most kittens like, put their face in yours and just try to keep getting closer and closer to you when you lay with them and why they do it and if mine is particulary affectionate or if that's just the way cats are.

Some cats are really affectionate like that...others aren't. I had a cat that would actually try to get in the same positions as me to go to sleep. he was very affectionate. I've also had cats that really didn't want much to do with humans at all. I might be how they were treated by humans before I got them though. Since you raised your's from 1 week it'll probably be pretty affectionate. It sees you as it's only mommy.

I wouldn't consider his behaviour weird at all, and I doubt it is related to being raised by a human. I have a kitten I raised on a bottle as well, and he is affectionate, but he doesn't like to be picked up or held really, just petted and scratched. Your kitty is probably particularly affectionate, or maybe has a bit of a silly personality. Enjoy it :)

I currently have a few kittens that I've bottle fed and they do the same thing. One of them is about 10 weeks old and 3 others are 5 weeks old. They do this because they are showing you affection. It's a good thing.

I got 2 kittens from a shelter about 5 years ago. Emily would have her face in my mouth, if she could get that close. I had to hide my face. Brewie, her brother was a LITTLE affectionate as a kitten (Emily died of FIP when she was 9 months old). Brewie didn't like me to touch him (he'd bite!), but over the years, he's grown more and more and more friendly and now climbs on my chest and nuzzles my nose, licks my chin several times throughout the night. He is purring, so I figure it is his kitten-ness.

My cat Cutie used to do that. He would be all in my face by the time i woke up in the morning. It was affection sometimes and other times it was him sensing that im about to wake up and a way for him to get fed early in the morning. It's normal especially if your the main caregiver. Not all cats are like that but yours just may be

Contrary to popular belief cats are very smart and they do show love and affection, my one cat is two years old and still rubs his face on my lips when he wants kisses, just enjoy the fact that you have a loving and affectionate cat who appreciates all that you have done for him, he knows where the love is.

It's the way cats are. Mine (aged 9) knows that he can irritate the heck out of me early in the morning by tickling my face with his whiskers so I'll give in, get up and feed him breakfast.

Cats raised by a human feel as though that human is their parent. They will stay close to you as they would their mother and think nothing of it. It's purely instinct of almost any mammal to bond with their caretaker.
