Does anyone know the name of the breed that has short legs. A friend of mine does not believe that they breed this cat not to jump on things I want to show her a picture.

I've noticed my cat will walk around and when it sniffs the rug sometimes it's mouth opens just a little and stays that way for a few seconds. Anyone know why?

My cat has this problem where he wants to be petted but he won't let me pet him more then 2 seconds before he starts licking my hands and arms! I will push his face away and stuff but then he will grab my arm with his paw and pull my arm to his mouth to lick my hand! I just don't understand why he does it. Also if I push him away from me completely {which I feel so cruel doing!} he will come and lay on my chest and sit close to my arms and hands and lick them. He just won't stop! If I see him coming up to me I have to put my arms in the air and he still even follows them and stares at them and tries to get to them. It's crazy lol. Has anyone dealt with this before?? Can anyone tell me how I could possibly break him of this? Because it's so annoying, I can't stand it but I don't want him to think I don't love him. Just everytime I try to show him affection he won't stop licking my hands and arms!!! Can anyone help plz! Thanks!!

This is my mom's 8 month old cat. He jumps up on the table while they are eating and helps himself. He almost rolled over into mom's spaghetti the other night. They put him down, he jumps back up. They say no, he is happy to be acknowledged. Water gun, rolled up paper, swat his nose--it is all fun and games. He is not afraid of anything. Any other ideas?

My cat has a problem with cats beating him up. Recently it got so bad, the vet told us it's necessary to keep him inside. He had always been a inside/outside cat since we found him on the streets. He SCREAMS and tries to pull open the door when he wants out.
Since we have to keep him in now, are there any tips? Please help!

How would you incorporate this into a car design?

The meat would be bio-degradable so it would be good for the environment.

Is it possible to buy Frontline plus from a place without getting it from the vet?
My two cats have not been to the vet, they dont have records of getting shots. I cannot afford to get them all the shots they need.

One of my cats has some stanky breath. Because I switched to a mostly wet food diet or could she have teeth problems? She seems to enjoy hard food, so I'm not sure if her teeth are bugging her or not.

Any help would be great.Thanks!

Ive smacked her really hard loads of times but she wont stop. Do they make muzzles for cats? My dog always wears one because he hates the cat and tries to bite it. Hes a german shepherd and apparently they usually have to wear muzzles because of biting.

In my house, i have 2 adult cats, one short hair, and one long maine coon. my maine coon has the most fleas, she drops thousands of the little white eggs and some black things which i think is the cocoon stage. we have tried bathing them like once a week, but of course does not kill the fleas on the floor.
so we have vacuumed all around, swept, ect. we have also tried the raid for fleas. is there any product that will not bother the cats, family, iguanas, ferrets? either powder, spray, something.

The vet prescribe a tablets (for uniane infection) to my cat this past Friday. She is to take it one daily. I tried to give it to her by picking up her by the neck...but she refuses to open her mouth. I try to push the tablet between her teeth which it did go through but she refuses to swallow it. Crush the tablet and mix it with a treat with her dry food..no results..i believe she knows something different. I don't give her any soft foods at all. Strictly on dried foods...Now what?

Hi am wondering what your view are on declawing or capping cats claws so that funiture etc doesnt get scratched. My opinion is that if its not for a medical reason then its just plain cruel. Whats your?

My future-husband and I just got back from a weekend trip. We have two kittens, a male tabby, and a female purebred Siamese. I had my sister check on them every day, she would give them breakfast, play with them a little, and clean out the litter box.

I guess Ariel, my Siamese, had a very hard time adjusting. She barely ate, and was extremely frightened from what my sister was telling me.

When we got home last night, she continued to be scared and barely came around for the first hour. That all changed when we went to bed. She HAD to be on top of us the whole night. Meowing, crying, the works. And, very rarely does she sleep with us.

I feel so bad. Is this going to happen every time we go on a trip? What can I do different next time? She has her buddy Armin to keep her company, but it didn't seem like it was enough. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the great replies on messy litter box woes ...

Now my other problem ... our kitten's stinky butt is not going away ..

I changed his food ...
I've washed his butt ... only for it to actually smell even worse after doing it!
He will start cleaning his butt, but then stops almost immediately.
My older cat even think this is a problem ... on a regular basis, Buddha will wrestle Baby down and give him a good cleaning ... yet baby still stinks.

Honestly, this is making it hard for me and my hubby to bond with the little guy. .. which is so important to me.

He hasn't yet been given a real name ... maybe it should be SCHTANKY butt boy!

Any other suggestions? Thanks so much!

Ok now i have more space to type. Found kit in yard, only 1.5 lbs. eats dry or wet food. Readily uses kitty litter, but cries out loud, when either peeing or poohing. Got her to vet same day I found him. Had one eye close due to conjuctivitis, using ointment and worm meds. Gave bath. Apparantly fleas liked the bath. Found fleas on her, combed the best I could, and re-bathed. Some dead fleas on towel, but not in the water, cannot use flea shampoo or meds on yet too yet..help...why the cry and how do u get fleas off when they didn't come off body when bathed in deep water.finally some drowned and came off......just vacuumed everywhere and washed bedding in case....so little, the cries don't seem normal unless used to mother egging on to pee or pooh or doens't like feel of litter..anyone have these experiences...at wits end for the little guy.......will call vet tomorrow if persists...ty chris

I dunno if I should let her go outside, I am concerned that she may not come back. The gate of our house has a big enough gap for her to pass through. Should I let her?? why or why not??

-btw, she's just a kitten. Not more than 5 months
