Does anyone know the name of the breed that has short legs. A friend of mine does not believe that they breed this cat not to jump on things I want to show her a picture.

They are called Munchkins and are registered only with a few registries, as they are considered an abnormal skeletal deformity.
The are dwarfs, just the same as their are human dwarfs.
I know I will take some heat from the breeders of Munchkins for this comment, but if you read all the imformation about the health issues in dwarfism in mammals, I just cannot by the story that dwarf cats do not have the same issues!!

they are called either dwarfs or munchkins i actually own one and any cat no matter what the breed can be trained not to jump on things but even munchkins can jump as high as any other cat because mine can jump up to the top of my entertainment center and it is 82 inches high.

The main dwarf breed is called the Munchkin, although there are others. However, you are incorrect to think that they cannot jump. They are very athletic and jump and climb well.
