My cat is 14 years old. He seems okay. He's eating okay and he chases my younger cat around the house sometimes. I'm just curious if he's getting sick because his fur seems to be separating. He's a long-haired cat. And the last time which was years ago, his fur looked like this and he ended up in the hospital for two weeks. Any vets out there?

I've been asking this question on here before. About returning my new kitten (6 months) to the rescue centre. My older (4 years) cat still keeps hissing and slapping the kitten. It's been over two months since I've got kitten. Now I have a scar on my face from my older cat's attack and she's been very agressive recently, doesn't greet me, doesn't come on my lap, hisses at me, which never happened before. She is so nervous now. The kitten is lovely and very friendly. I keep thinking about returning her to the rescue centre where she could be adopted by a nice family. But it is cold outside and there is no heating whatsoever in the cat house in the rescue centre. Will she be cold.. Other cats being there seem to be alright with cold, but they have been there for a while.. I wonder how long would it take her to be adopted. Do you think 6 months kitten is very adoptable? I worry about my older cat going mad or just being fed up and leaving us if I keep the kitten, I worry about kitten too

I have owned my cat for almost a year and just recently he sits at the door and meows. He is an indoor cat and has never once tried to go outside.

Do pets get sore throats, allergies, sinus congestion and headaches? Can a cat have migraines?

Just curious.

My cat's urine volume has more than doubled recently and she's been throwing up nearly every day for about the last week. We are using a food recommend by the vet. The vet rant some test that ruled out diabetes and a UTI.

I wonder if it is time to switch to a new vet.

Stop declawing your cat's... That's so dam cruel, you can easily cut a little bit of their claws (they even like it) instead of taking them out, or just let them run; my cat was 9 years-old and only clipped his claws once, when he was a baby and the rest of the years he used them at the same speed that they grew.
Please stop declawing...

Recently I have been finding, for lack of a better description, "Spit" marks on the floor. I'm assuming they're from my cat, as I live on my own. He seems to do this maybe twice a week or so. He is fixed. Does anyone know what this is? Other than doing this he seems fine.

Thanks

He is 3 months old and he soaks his entire stomach. He does this when I am around and when I am not. So, I have tried distracting him when he goes to start, but he will end up doing it when I am not around.

I have 2 house cats that got fleas from a friend of mine that was sleeping at my house while her place got treated for a flea infestation...unfortunately they are becoming a problem for me, my husband and my cats! I wouldn't mind setting off smoke bombs but i sleep during the day and my husband sleeps at night. Are there any powders or sprays I can put all over the apartment while my cats and I are sleeping in the bedroom without worry of getting sick from the fumes?

My cat's nails are starting to catch on the carpet and sofa when she climbs up on it. I have a scratching post and a tough fibre door mat which she scratches on both regularly, she used to scratch the sofas alot but thank god has stopped that now! Should i also clip her claws, she is quite tame when she isnt in her mad half hour so i could try doing it myself, not sure if its best to just leave her to file them using the post.
What do you do with your cat? How much would a vet charge roughly in the uk for clipping?

I know this is a really controversial question, but all of my cats growing up had their front claws removed, and I'm considering having my kitten declawed when I have her spayed (at 6 months)... just wanted some opinions??

I took my cat to the vet when he was about 4 months old. I was told he has a heart murmur. He's now a year old. How can i tell if its getting worse? When he gets hyper or playful he starts breathing verrry heavy. Should i get him back into the vet?

hey, ive asked another question before about my kitten, as you can tell ive never had one before, ask me anything about dogs and i can tell you though. lol. Right my kitten, she doesnt leave me alone, she insists on sitting on my chest so she can clean herself or sleep and because it is cold insists on sleeping in my bed under my duvet !!! now this may sound cute...but is it normal?? when i move her she make a cry noise and if i stop cuddling her she doe!! and its towards me not my partner.....does she think im her mum? i spend a bit more time with her but not loads more than my partner. As for the bed situation i try putting her out the room but she cries constantly!!!! just like she cries till shes under my duvet cuddled up to my leg...how do i train her? ive tried repeatedly getting up and putting her in here bed and ive tried a little tap to the nose and a stern NO but she thinks im playing...and purrs constantly! is she just super happy? or is this a bad attachment? please help...

We ran out of her holistic Innova dry and canned foods. Well actually their still a bit of dry food left. My mom said the dry food was low and she told me to give the cat Whiskas pouched giblets multi pack. that she bought for our cat 5 weeks ago for some unknown reason. I didn't want to because Whiskas has disgusting stuff like meat-by products, that could very well be sick euthanized animals that still contain euthanisia. My mom forced me. I tried to tell her about how bad Whiskas was. But she told me just to give it anyways me anyways. Will it make my girl sick? I will try to get another can and bag of the Innova cat food ASAP.But in the mean time will my cat have any stomache upsets etc etc?
