There are so many reasons for a cat to have diarrhea. If you've ever had it yourself you know it's very uncomfortable.
You really should have a vet investigate the reason for it to see if it can be stopped. If you can get some canned pumpkin (no pie mix with sugar and spices) it can help to firm up stools. You can get slippery elm powder from a health food store and mix a teaspoon with a little filtered water it is a nutritive herb that soothes and heals an inflammed intestinal tract.

You didn't say how old this cat is, or whether you feed it milk. If it's a kitten, it may have an intestinal parasite called "Coccidia". This will cause a bad case of diarrhea, and will not go away without medication. Take you cat to the vet, have a fecal test taken to ck for the parasite. If it's there, the vet will prescribe "Albon", with is given w/dropper a couple of times a day. One weeks worth of meds, and the cat should be fine. If the "runs" last too long, it will get so dehydrated it could die. Better to have it checked out, and taken care of ASAP. Good luck......

If you are feeding the cat mild, stop that right now. Cats cannot have any dairy products.
If you are feeding your cat a diet of regular cat food and water only, a diet it has been on for some time and is accusotmed to and it is still sick, go tot he vet.
Diarrhea can severely dehydrate your animal possibly leading to further illness and even death. You really should be taking your cat to see a vet.

If your cat has diarrhea for more than 24 hours, you should take it a vet immediately. Diarrhea can lead to severe dehydration. Diarrhea can indicate several nasty diseases. Only a vet can correctly diagnose and treat your cat.

Diarrhea in anyone is a serious matter - it should be taken care of at once.
If it has been happening for a long period of time to your kitty, I would suspect it has seriously deyhdrated your cat -- please take your cat to the vet immediately.
Once your cat has been examined, your vet can tell you waht to do in the future.
Please do not give milk to your cat, just in case you have been giving it to him/her. They cannot digest milk.
Wishing your kitty the best.

Take it to the vet. Don't let the diarrhea go on for too long. It will dehydrate him and he could die.

Try a diet of rice mixed with chicken. If that does not work, you may have to go to the vet. Do not let it get dehydrated.
