hey, ive asked another question before about my kitten, as you can tell ive never had one before, ask me anything about dogs and i can tell you though. lol. Right my kitten, she doesnt leave me alone, she insists on sitting on my chest so she can clean herself or sleep and because it is cold insists on sleeping in my bed under my duvet !!! now this may sound cute...but is it normal?? when i move her she make a cry noise and if i stop cuddling her she doe!! and its towards me not my partner.....does she think im her mum? i spend a bit more time with her but not loads more than my partner. As for the bed situation i try putting her out the room but she cries constantly!!!! just like she cries till shes under my duvet cuddled up to my leg...how do i train her? ive tried repeatedly getting up and putting her in here bed and ive tried a little tap to the nose and a stern NO but she thinks im playing...and purrs constantly! is she just super happy? or is this a bad attachment? please help...

awww...she sounds like she's super young. My kitten used to do that when I first got him. They're just used to having their mom around all the time. So when they're alone they don't know what to do.

It's nothing to worry about. I'm sure she'll grow out of it:) Mr. Meowgi(my kitten) doesn't do it anymore. They get more independant as they grow older

You are her mother figure at this point in her life. If it is not a problem for you leave her alone. She will just learn to come get under the covers after you go asleep. Cats tend to do what they want and even though they can be taught it's very hard. They are very independent. Some cats like covers some do not. Your obviously does Don't hit her nose, she doesn't understand at all why you do that.

I'd like to tell you she will grown out of it, but more than likely not. You will have a bed partner for a very long time. Think of her as a wireless leg warmer with a lifetime warranty

Your Love Keeps Following Me

Her behavior is totally normal. Usually pets will bond more with one person than another.
My male cat thinks I'm his mate and follows me around, sleeps with me, purrs on demand, and he's about 6 years old.

My cats like those fabric cat houses that has a roof and a fluffy pillow to sleep on. Maybe if you bought one of those the kitten would feel secure in it when you go to bed at night.
But she wants to sleep with you because she feels safe and secure. As she matures that will change and you will notice that she will become more independent.
My female cat was all lovey-dovey when she was a kitten. Now she only comes around to be pet when she's ready.

My male cat will break the sound barrier when he hears a can of wet food being opened.
My female cat will make an appearance when I shake the container of cat nip.
Each have different personalities and they change as they get older, just like humans do.

It sounds pretty normal for a very young kitten. I wouldn't "punish" her for being that way.

You can get the Bach flower essence Chicory at a health foods store. You just shake the bottle well and put three or four drops on the fur between her ears. Use it LAVISHLY for the first ten days - as many times a day as you can get it on her. It can help her emotionally and maybe make her less obsessively attached.

My female Calico is an older cat and she still does that some times. In her case it's just that she loves people and the companionship. She hates to be alone. Even while I'm online she'll lay beside the chair I sit in and when I get up to leave she'll get up and follow me into the living room or wherever it is that I'm going. I'm very lucky to have such a sweet cat because females are not usually like that. Not any previous females that has owned me anyway. I say "owned me" because that's how it is with cats. You don't own them they own you!!

its perfectly normal. My cat is now 1 and a half years old, and still follows me around meowing, and still sleeps in the bed with me.

The kitten loves you and is just trying to show it in the best way she can: affection.

let her sleep with you, it just means she loves you, and its not causing any problems.

i suppose you can train her not to sleep with you or meow at you. but really at that point all you'd be doing is training her not to love you.

She is young and would normally follow her mother around, just pick her up and comfort her for a little while.

Kittens are like human babies ... they both WANT and NEED LOVE from their "Mommy"... !
:)
A lot of kittens do that because they are "crying out" for your love and attention....!

Rx: Give her LOTS and lots of love, attention, snuggles, and "kisses".... :)
:)
xox
Good luck!
:)
